I grew as an infrastructure engineer while operating Linux servers for over 20 years.

I migrated from a data center to AWS and operated hundreds of instances and large-scale payment services.

Each dawn, as I tracked down the causes of outages, I realized that deployment automation cannot be completed simply by connecting tools.

GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Amazon ECR, SonarQube, and CodeDeploy must be aligned with the organization’s roles and operating procedures.

We’ll examine the overall picture of the DevOps pipeline and the division of responsibilities at each stage, then summarize the key topics covered in the course and the learning outcomes.

Section 3

Background for Adopting CI/CD and Diagnosis of the Current State

Compare the need to build a pipeline, the differences between manual and automated deployment, and recurring deployment problems. We will also assess the current deployment status and establish a shared understanding of key terms and stakeholders.

Section 4

Responsibilities of Each Tool in the 5-Stage CI/CD Pipeline

Design a five-stage pipeline structure consisting of source control, build, artifact storage, quality verification, and deployment. Distinguish the responsibilities handled at each stage by GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Amazon ECR, SonarQube, and the deployment system.

Tool Selection and AWS Infrastructure Deployment Design

This section compares the criteria for choosing between building and managing services directly and using managed services, and covers how to deploy pipeline components in an AWS environment.   • We recommend at least 16 GB of memory
    to run the virtual environment.

  • Knowing how to use Git and the deployment workflow will help you follow the hands-on exercises more quickly.

  • Rather than coding, the focus is on pipeline design and

I am an infrastructure engineer who has been wrestling with servers for over 20 years. Starting with Linux server operations, I am now in charge of the cloud infrastructure for a large-scale payment service. My daily life involves migrating from data centers to AWS, managing hundreds of instances, and tracing the causes of failures in the early hours of the morning.

The reason I created this course is simple.

I often received questions like these from those around me: "I managed to connect to the server, but I don't know what to do next." "There are so many instance types; which one should I choose?" These are the exact same points where I got stuck at first. However, when I looked for resources, I found that most of them were written for people who already knew what they were doing.

So I decided to create the course I wish I had when I first started learning.

My lectures are based on three principles.

First, I help you understand rather than memorize. Instead of just listing commands, I explain why we use them in the first place.

Second, I boldly omit unnecessary content. I do not increase the volume by including information that is useless to beginners right now.

Third, I also talk about what doesn't work. Instead of just listing the pros, I clearly point out cases where it might not be a good fit. For someone who has to make decisions in the field, that is more important.
