What you will gain after the course

  • The ability to quickly read technical documentation, release notes, and logs to extract key information.

  • Techniques for instantly writing PR comments, tickets, and work emails based on templates

  • Capabilities in sharing incident status, technical meetings, and English resume and interview preparation.

It's not that you can't speak English; the situation is just different

A failure has occurred. You need to check the release notes to find the cause, but they are in English. You need to contact the vendor, but the ticket must be written in English. It’s something that could be explained in just three lines, but because those three lines feel so burdensome, you procrastinate for 30 minutes.

What you need in these moments is not conversational skills. It is the ability to convey the situation briefly and without misunderstanding.

We have studied English for a long time. It’s just that the goals of that study were different from the goals of the actual workplace. Exams gave high scores for long and sophisticated sentences, but in practice, short and accurate sentences make for better writing. Exams required a broad vocabulary, but in practice, 300 terms specific to your field are much more powerful.

This course is designed to bridge that gap.

What this course covers and what it does not

This course covers only ten specific situations encountered in the IT industry. These include technical documentation, error logs, PRs, code reviews, issue tickets, business emails, incident reports, meetings, vendor support, as well as English resumes and technical interviews.

I will also clearly state what is not covered. We do not organize grammar systems from scratch. We do not provide pronunciation correction. We also do not cover methods for improving test scores.

Instead, every lecture includes templates and examples that you can copy and use as they are. By simply changing the service names and numbers in the examples, you can apply them to your work today.

Four Characteristics of This Course

1. Contains only situations that actually occurred in the field

Instead of using hypothetical examples, I have selected sentences that are repeatedly used in actual infrastructure operations and migration fields.

2. Every lecture includes templates you can copy and use.

We provide fixed templates you can use immediately, such as 3 lines for incident sharing, 6 lines for vendor tickets, and 3 lines for PR descriptions.

3. Compare with Before and After.

I will show you, sentence by sentence, how writing the same content in one way leads to delayed replies, while writing it another way gets you an immediate response.

4. PDF lecture materials are provided for each class

It includes templates, a glossary of terms, checklists, and expression notes for you to fill out yourself.

Hello, I'm Frank.

I am an infrastructure engineer who has been wrestling with servers for over 20 years. Starting with Linux server operations, I am now in charge of the cloud infrastructure for a large-scale payment service. My daily life involves migrating from data centers to AWS, managing hundreds of instances, and tracing the causes of failures in the early hours of the morning.

The reason I created this course is simple.

I often received questions like these from those around me: "I managed to connect to the server, but I don't know what to do next." "There are so many instance types; which one should I choose?" These are the exact same points where I got stuck at first. However, when I looked for resources, I found that most of them were written for people who already knew what they were doing.

So I decided to create the course I wish I had when I first started learning.

My lectures are based on three principles.

First, I help you understand rather than memorize. Instead of just listing commands, I explain why we use them in the first place.

Second, I boldly omit unnecessary content. I do not increase the volume by including information that is useless to beginners right now.

Third, I also talk about what doesn't work. Instead of just listing the pros, I clearly point out cases where it might not be a good fit. For someone who has to make decisions in the field, that is more important.

If you feel a sense of "Ah, I should start from here" after listening to the lecture, then my goal has been achieved.

Please feel free to leave any questions you may have at any time.
