Complete Kubernetes Deployment Automation with GitOps and Argo CD

Solve the human errors, lack of records, and configuration drift caused by manual deployments with a GitOps architecture. Install Argo CD 3.x, automate deployments with Applications, Helm, and Kustomize, and build a secure operating system with RBAC, SSO, and secrets management. Develop immediately applicable GitOps operational expertise through practical incident response checklists and a team adoption roadmap.

What you will gain after the course

  • Building an Automated Kubernetes Deployment and Synchronization System Using GitOps Principles and Argo CD

  • Helm, Kustomize, and ApplicationSet-Based Scalable Deployment Design for Multi-Environment, Multi-Cluster Deployments

  • Establish a secure operational structure and team adoption roadmap including AppProject, RBAC, SSO, and secret management

Can you answer within 10 seconds which version is currently running in production?

At 9 p.m. on Friday, you keep the document open beside you and enter the commands one by one. A setting is missing in one of the three environments, and an outage occurs an hour later. Even when you try to find out what changed, there is no record. In the end, you rely on your memory to roll it back manually.

This did not happen because there were too few people in charge. It is the result of a structure in which people deploy manually. That is why telling people to be careful cannot prevent it; the structure itself must be changed.

This course teaches you how to change that structure. When you record your desired operational state in Git, Argo CD aligns the cluster accordingly and automatically reverts any settings someone has changed manually. Deployment is done by merging a PR, and rollback takes just one `git revert`.

Recommended for people who...

  • Those who deploy with kubectl or CI scripts but cannot track who changed what

  • Those who are afraid to redeploy because of settings hastily fixed on the production server

  • Those tasked with introducing Argo CD but unsure where to start

  • Those who use Argo CD but are still using it in its default installation state with just a single admin account

  • Those managing development, staging, and production environments with nearly identical copies of YAML files.

What makes this course unique

1. Understand the reasons before the usage

Instead of memorizing each setting, we first look at what kind of incident it was created to prevent. Once you understand the reason, you can assess even unfamiliar options on your own.

2. Through an Operator’s Eyes

What stops when a component stops, how to prevent accidental deletions, and what to do first if you accidentally upload a password. This is centered on the questions you encounter in real-world operations.

3. Based on the latest 3.x

It reflects the changes in installation methods, default resource tracking settings, and permission behavior in Argo CD 3.x. This will help reduce confusion caused by differences from older blog posts.

4. Materials to revisit when you get stuck

Each lesson includes a “Common Problems” table and a collection of commands. You can use them as a practical reference even after completing the course.

Hello, I'm Frank.

I am an infrastructure engineer who has been wrestling with servers for over 20 years. Starting with Linux server operations, I am now in charge of the cloud infrastructure for a large-scale payment service. My daily life involves migrating from data centers to AWS, managing hundreds of instances, and tracing the causes of failures in the early hours of the morning.

The reason I created this course is simple.

I often received questions like these from those around me: "I managed to connect to the server, but I don't know what to do next." "There are so many instance types; which one should I choose?" These are the exact same points where I got stuck at first. However, when I looked for resources, I found that most of them were written for people who already knew what they were doing.

So I decided to create the course I wish I had when I first started learning.

My lectures are based on three principles.

First, I help you understand rather than memorize. Instead of just listing commands, I explain why we use them in the first place.

Second, I boldly omit unnecessary content. I do not increase the volume by including information that is useless to beginners right now.

Third, I also talk about what doesn't work. Instead of just listing the pros, I clearly point out cases where it might not be a good fit. For someone who has to make decisions in the field, that is more important.

If you feel a sense of "Ah, I should start from here" after listening to the lecture, then my goal has been achieved.

Please feel free to leave any questions you may have at any time.
