Unity Basics Course - From Planning to Use

An example-centered lecture that focuses on the core and provides practical training

This course is for beginners who want to develop games with Unity, and explains in detail everything from installing Unity to the basic knowledge required for 2D/3D game development. (All resources used in the course can be downloaded by clicking the “Course Materials” button at the top of the video.)

Complete the core battle system of a Unity 2D martial arts idle game from scratch using the AI coding agent Claude Code. We will build a starter kit codebase that is immediately expandable in practice—covering auto-battle, object pooling, stage systems, and boss battles—while experiencing the entire development loop from requirement design to debugging alongside AI.

This is an introductory VR development course that teaches you how to connect VR equipment and develop VR content using Unity. Since the marketability and prospects of VR can already be found in many contents, we have not covered them and have only extracted the core elements needed for actual development. If you want to learn how to develop VR in an easy and fast way that you can use for a long time, come here!

For those who have hesitated to adopt Git and Github for collaboration or have given up for various reasons, this introduces Git basics and the GitFlow branching strategy. It's structured to help you learn Git and Github tailored to the specific characteristics of Unity projects.

This course is an FPS game that runs on AR using Unity. You can learn about AR projects from AR settings to build and run.

Complete a Match-3 game by connecting Unity and Claude Code via MCP, allowing you to request development from AI even without coding knowledge. You can experience the entire process of practical game development, from environment setup to game system implementation, mobile optimization, and ad monetization.

Build a full-scale tower defense game from scratch in Unity using C#. This practical course implements the mechanics of a strategy game—where you place characters to prevent enemy invasions—by breaking them down into individual functional components.

We will implement player controls, animations, and an attack system using Claude Code, and develop boss AI detection, pursuit, attack patterns, and phase transitions using the Behavior package. We will guide you through a step-by-step tutorial.

Learn how to design various shaders and visual effects that can be used in games using Unity 6 Shader Graph. This is a step-by-step lecture from basic to advanced techniques for beginners and experts alike.

Learn the basics of collaboration that you can use in your Unity collaborative projects. We will use Git Bash instead of Github Desktop to work directly with Git. If you don't understand something, please ask!

It's an undeniable fact that mathematics is essential for game developers. Instead of excessively deep traditional math lectures, learn all the mathematical techniques you can use right away!

In this course, you will build a system that directly parses DWG drawings in Unity and automatically converts them into actual 3D walls based on lines and polylines. After completing the DWG → 3D map automatic generation pipeline, you will also implement map editor functionality that allows you to freely place various objects on the generated space and save/load them in JSON/DB format. Finally, by integrating essential features used in real-world digital twins such as heatmaps, status displays, and real-time data reflection, you will complete a digital twin project from start to finish that can be immediately applied in industrial settings.

Game development is a complex field that goes beyond simple coding to encompass performance optimization, architecture design, collaboration, accessibility, and monetization. This course summarizes the sessions from GameDev Day 2025, a global event hosted by JetBrains, and captures the real-world challenges and solutions that professional developers face in the industry.
