  • Memorizing and mastering 50 essential conversational expressions and verb conjugation patterns

  • Building confidence in basic conversation through self-directed practice based on real-life scripts

I've studied for 10 years, so why can't I say a single word?

I can read English articles. I can understand a few words without subtitles. But when a foreigner talks to me, my mind goes blank.

It's not because you lack the skills. It's because you've never practiced bringing it out until now.

This course does not add new knowledge. For four weeks, we only repeat the training of bringing out what you already know within 1 second.

Why hasn't it worked until now?

The translation circuit is running

You first construct a sentence in Korean and then swap in English words one by one. It takes 5 seconds per sentence. In a real conversation, you need to respond within 1 second. The speed itself is simply incompatible.

there are no ingredients

You know thousands of words. Yet, there aren't even ten complete sentences that come out instantly without thinking. It's like having a refrigerator full of ingredients, but none of them are prepared.

Your mouth has never made that sound before

It's because you've only learned them with your eyes. This is the reason why you can't pronounce words you know in your head.

4-Week Curriculum

Week 1 · 50 Survival Expressions

We will cover 10 sentences a day for 5 days. Memorize them by grouping them by situation. This is because if you memorize them individually, you won't be able to find them when you actually need them.

Daily Grouping Example

Day 1 Greetings and Small Talk How's it going?

Day 2 Requests and Favors Could you help me with this?

Day 3 Checking and Clarifying Let me make sure I got that.

Day 4 Emotions and Reactions That makes sense.

Day 5 Declining and ClosingMaybe next time, thanks.

This week, we will not be analyzing sentences. Without questioning why a certain preposition is used, store them as a whole through sound.

The passing criteria are clear. If you can say 50 sentences within 3 minutes without looking at anything, move on to the next week.

Week 2 · Sentence Construction Formula

The sentences you memorized in Week 1 will be the materials. Now, you will start making them yourself.

Use only five verbs: want, need, have, think, and go. These five will cover half of your daily conversations. The goal is not to know many verbs, but to use a few verbs freely.

Take one sentence and expand it in four directions.

Direction examples

Basic I need a break.

Negative I don't need a break.

Past I needed a break.

Question Do you need a break?

Subject change She needs a break.

One sentence becomes five. With 3 sentences a day for 5 days, you will end up creating 75 sentences yourself. The important point is that you created them, rather than just memorizing them.

On the last day, try talking about what happened today in five sentences. This is the real test of Week 2.

Week 3 · Questions and Asking Back

The moment a conversation fails isn't when you make a grammar mistake. It's when you freeze up because you don't understand what the other person is saying. If the silence lasts for just 3 seconds, the conversation is over.

Prepare three types of sentences.

Situational Expressions

When you didn't understand: Sorry, could you say that again?

When buying time: Let me think for a second.

When asking back to pass the turn: What about you?

To this, we add six frameworks for creating questions. If you know how to ask questions, you can take control of the conversation. Answering is difficult, but asking questions is easy.

And you will practice the 3-step structure for keeping a conversation going: Reacting, adding a sentence about yourself, and asking back. One round is about 20 seconds, and nine rounds make a 3-minute conversation.

Week 4 · 6 Real-life Scenarios

Write the dialogue for the six scenarios yourself, speak without a script, and record it.

Scenario Content: Self-introduction

Name, occupation, residence, hobbies, asking back

5 sentences: Ordering from a cafe menu

8 lines from selection to payment

Asking for directions: Confirming the location and asking for clarification

Combination of casual small talk

Continuing for 1 minute with a 3-step structure

Problem solving

Exchanges, refunds, reporting complaints; Video conference greetings, opinions, and closing transitions.

There is a system here that significantly reduces the burden. You only need to memorize your 4 lines out of the 8-line script. It is enough just to understand the other person's lines.

On the last day, play the six scenarios consecutively and challenge yourself to a 3-minute conversation.

Spend 15 minutes a day following this order

Time | Activity | Method 3 min | Listening | Close your eyes and just listen. Do not repeat. 5 min | Shadowing | Follow right behind the audio like a shadow. 4 min | Substitution | Create new sentences by changing the subject and tense. 3 min | Recording & Checking | Record once and fix only one awkward part.

Fix only one spot a day. If you try to fix several, you will get exhausted and quit. Even if you fix just one spot at a time, twenty spots will be different in 4 weeks.

You can do this during your commute, while doing the dishes, or while taking a walk. Learning that can only be done sitting at a desk won't last more than three days.

5 Steps of Speaking Along

If you go through a sentence in this order, it will become completely yours.

Listening → Reading along → Overlap reading → Shadowing without the script → Speaking on your own

It takes about 2 minutes per sentence. Five sentences a day is 10 minutes. Don't try to do too much. Completing five sentences thoroughly is better than skimming through fifty.

We will focus on only three things for pronunciation.

The goal is not to pronounce like a native speaker, but to make yourself understood. These two are completely different.

Item | Criteria Stress: If the stress is correct, you will be understood even if the sound is awkward. Final sounds: Pronounce s, t, and d sounds clearly to the end without dropping them. Linking: Pronounce by connecting the final sound of the preceding word with the initial sound of the following word.

Don't worry about anything other than these three. Pronunciation perfectionism stops you from speaking.

Hello, I'm Frank.

I am an infrastructure engineer who has been wrestling with servers for over 20 years. Starting with Linux server operations, I am now in charge of the cloud infrastructure for a large-scale payment service. My daily life involves migrating from data centers to AWS, managing hundreds of instances, and tracing the causes of failures in the early hours of the morning.

The reason I created this course is simple.

I often received questions like these from those around me: "I managed to connect to the server, but I don't know what to do next." "There are so many instance types; which one should I choose?" These are the exact same points where I got stuck at first. However, when I looked for resources, I found that most of them were written for people who already knew what they were doing.

So I decided to create the course I wish I had when I first started learning.

My lectures are based on three principles.

First, I help you understand rather than memorize. Instead of just listing commands, I explain why we use them in the first place.

Second, I boldly omit unnecessary content. I do not increase the volume by including information that is useless to beginners right now.

Third, I also talk about what doesn't work. Instead of just listing the pros, I clearly point out cases where it might not be a good fit. For someone who has to make decisions in the field, that is more important.

If you feel a sense of "Ah, I should start from here" after listening to the lecture, then my goal has been achieved.

Please feel free to leave any questions you may have at any time.
