The UXtools survey, in which about a quarter of American designers, including UX designers and product designers, participated, has been released. What is noteworthy is the growth of Figma . Figma is closely following Miro in the brainstorming field, and also ranked first in site maps, interface design, UI prototyping, handoff (guidelines), and design system management. In particular, it recorded an overwhelming first place in the notable tools of 2021. So what makes Figma an attractive design tool?
Why Figma?
The ultimate in collaboration!
Figma's biggest feature is 'real-time collaboration' . The following process is followed until the web/app design is produced.
The design process is complex. Not only designers, but also planners and developers must all participate, and through communication, many parts may change from the initial draft. It is also common for multiple designers to participate in one project. That is why collaboration is a very important point in the design process.
Figma is a tool that offers outstanding flexibility and productivity when it comes to collaboration. This is because it is a web browser-based program. While general design tools are downloaded and used, Figma is accessed through a browser. As long as there is an internet connection, you can access Figma anytime, anywhere without having to download a desktop app. Another big advantage is that it is a cloud-based program, so there is no need for separate storage space. It provides the optimal environment for collaboration, as you can share screens in real time and manage versions conveniently.
Basics and practice at once.
Let's learn in order!
Figma, how to use it? Learn how to create a Figma account and set up your work environment. Understand canvases and pages, and learn the basic interface and features.
The core of Figma is components! Figma is a component-based prototyping tool. By making the source a component, you can conveniently load and use the master source at any time. Understand the concept of components and apply what you have learned through practice.
The interface design is OK. Learn how to design interfaces using the Iconify, Auto Flow, and Auto Layout plugins. You can apply what you learn step by step through hands-on exercises.
Try to keep the tone consistent. When designing a service UI, there are bound to be colors or texts that are used repeatedly. To ensure consistency in the UI design, create a style guide for elements that are used repeatedly and apply it.
Prototyping for the hardworking. Understand Figma's prototyping method, understand what components are included, and learn how to communicate more efficiently and work more productively!
Collaboration made easier and smarter. Learn about Figma's many collaboration features, including how to add and share comments directly from the design surface, version control, share, and export design files, and more.

This is a really good lecture for Figma beginners!! The only regret is that the text on the screen is too small ㅠㅠㅠㅠ My eyes hurt so much when I look at it for a long time, so it would have been better if they had provided a magnifying glass....
First of all, it was the most appealing among the domestic beginner Figma lectures I've heard. However, since too much information was split into short time units, there were parts that were difficult to understand or vague for non-designers.
Since there was no comparison between the actions of resize, alignment, and auto layout, I briefly wondered in which cases I could use it appropriately while clicking on them one by one to understand them directly.
Since components, styles, and libraries are actually all connected, I think it would have been better if there had been a summary of the related parts.
If projects that incorporate techniques used in practice are released as lectures, I plan to pay right away.
I look forward to many more great lectures in the future.
