GA4
With the UA (Universal Analytics) service ending in July 2023, data collection will only be possible through GA4. If you implement GA4 at the UA termination date, you won't be able to access previous data, so you'll need to implement it in advance and load your data. Unlike UA, which aggregates data by session, GA4 measures data based on events and their parameters, enabling deeper analysis through exploratory analysis rather than basic reporting.
In offline stores, you can visually see which customers go through which journey before they make their final purchase, allowing you to immediately implement marketing strategies for your key products. However, in the ever-growing online market, the journeys of active consumers are impossible to directly observe.
Google Analytics 4, which leverages event-based data from websites and mobile apps, provides a detailed understanding of the online customer journey, making it easier to gain insights and understand campaign performance. In other words, GA4 is not simply a tool for data analysis; it's a tool for understanding consumers and improving business direction.
However, if you're starting from scratch, unlike the simple-to-use UA, you'll be wasting valuable data, as you won't know how to set up GA4, integrate with external data, utilize data, and visualize it. This course will help you collect log data from GA4 and analyze funnel-centric customer data to improve your campaigns, giving you the "eyes" you need in the online marketplace.
Events? Logs? Dimensions? The terminology and features of GA4 are still unfamiliar! This course, based on the latest version of GA4, will teach you everything from the evolution of GA to basic features and setup methods.
Since the training is conducted using a Google demo account, anyone can learn even without a corporate website or customer data. Even those implementing GA4 within their company without a developer can easily learn the tracking code operation process and collect data.
In addition to the events automatically measured by Google, GA4 allows you to implement your own custom events tailored to your business. We'll introduce how to track events using Gtag.js and make it easy to view your ecommerce data.
Defining custom events gives you valuable insights into how your customers behave and where they come from within your website or app.
You can design a custom GA4 report that's tailored to your company and organization, and segment it with the perspectives you want to gain insights.
Explore your traffic flow with funnel analysis, from "customers view products, add them to their cart, proceed to checkout, and make a final purchase," and test your hypotheses directly with segment analysis reports. Leverage GA4's predictive capabilities, a key strength of GA4, to develop the ability to set business goals and prepare for various issues.
How does this marketing campaign compare to previous campaigns? Which marketing channel contributed most to the conversion of customers from other websites to our site/app?
After learning GA4's attribution model, calculate conversion contributions for each acquisition channel based on machine learning. This will reveal the answers to which channels and touchpoints to focus on and how to allocate your marketing budget.
