The Quality of the Report, Part 2
[Logic Development] for Writing Perfect Documents 😀

From writing documents (plans, proposals, reports (hereinafter referred to as reports)) to reporting
The process consists of four major steps.

  • First, accurately understand the work instructions of the work supervisor (superior).

  • Second, organize the instructed content into a logical progression (development, data collection, etc.)

  • Third, express your thoughts in slides according to each logical structure (table of contents, etc.).

  • Finally, you will be asked to give a work report (or presentation) based on what you have worked on.

In other words, if any of the four processes above have issues, your report will often be a "failure report." In other words, you'll end up writing a report with low productivity. Therefore, I've synthesized the above content into a course called "The Quality of Reports."

  • PART 1. Understanding the Work

  • PART 2. Logic Structure (Development of Content)

  • PART 3. EXPRESSION OF THOUGHTS

  • PART 4. THE ART OF REPORTING

Characteristics of a document

The logical development method varies depending on the characteristics of each document (plan, proposal, report). Therefore, we will select frequently used documents and learn how to develop information and structure the table of contents appropriately for the document.

Techniques for Idea Generation

A good report should not only present information logically, but also be robust and rich in content. To achieve this, you will learn not only the principles of logical information development but also techniques for generating ideas and how to utilize them.

Efficient Data Collection Methods

To support the claims in a report, clear data is required. There are three main types of data, and the research methods vary depending on the nature of each. This lecture will cover the types of data and methods for collecting them.

Implementing Pagination with Logical Progression

By learning the logical development process, you can build upon it to create pagination, the foundational task of a report. Pagination involves structuring the document's table of contents and determining what content and materials will be included on each detailed page within the table of contents.

Frequently Asked Questions

💡 Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I am a beginner at writing documents (plans, proposals, reports, etc.). Can I still take the course?

    • Yes, it is possible. It's especially helpful for those who are new to report writing or want to learn properly. Report writing is a document-based process, so it requires a functional understanding of the necessary aspects. And we've organized this information systematically to make it easy to understand.

  2. Does it also include how to write documents?

    • No. This course teaches you how to develop the logic of a report before writing it. Additionally, you'll learn background knowledge to solidify the report's content. Therefore, this course covers only the entire process of document writing, not the actual writing process.

  3. Are you having difficulty with the lecture content in other parts of the course?

    • It's not difficult at all. The video is short, around 5-10 minutes long, and designed for easy listening. Furthermore, the slide content is as detailed as possible, ensuring that even those unable to hear the audio can still understand the content simply by watching the slides.

  4. Additionally, do I need to include other parts of the report?

    • Not necessarily. Students can choose to focus on the four sections of the report quality course based on their perceived weaknesses. However, since those who struggle with reports often struggle structurally across multiple areas rather than just one, we recommend taking courses in at least two areas.
