What you will learn!

  • Acquire the skill to grasp the essence of work instructions from your superiors.

  • Why we need active understanding rather than passive understanding

  • How to identify the 'Yama (core)' of a work order

  • A questioning technique that removes ambiguity in work instructions

  • How to Use a Frame Sheet for Complete Understanding

The Quality of the Report, Part 1
[Understanding the Work] for Proper Documentation 😀

The process from document creation to reporting consists of four major steps.

  • First, accurately understand the work instructions of the work supervisor (superior).

  • Second, organize the instructed content into a logical progression (development, data collection, etc.)

  • Third, express your thoughts in slides according to each logical structure (table of contents, etc.).

  • Finally, you will be asked to give a work report (or presentation) based on what you have worked on.

In other words, if any of the four processes above have issues, your report will often be a "failure report." In other words, you'll end up writing a report with low productivity. Therefore, I've synthesized the above content into a course called "The Quality of Reports."

  • PART 1. Understanding the Work (Active Understanding of Work Instructions)

  • PART 2. LOGICAL CONSTRUCTION

  • PART 3. EXPRESSION OF THOUGHTS

  • PART 4. THE ART OF REPORTING

Communication for direction

To actively understand work instructions, you must review the content according to a set process. You will also learn how to provide feedback on areas where you are lacking.

Frequently Asked Questions

💡 Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I am a beginner at writing documents (plans, proposals, reports, etc.). Can I still take the course?

    • Yes, it is possible. It's especially helpful for those who are new to report writing or want to learn properly. Report writing is a document-based process, so it requires a functional understanding of the necessary aspects. And we've organized this information systematically to make it easy to understand.

  2. Does it also include how to write documents?

    • No. This course teaches you how to accurately understand and review work instructions tailored to the type, nature, and specifics of the business you're working with before writing your report. Therefore, for report writing, we recommend taking courses like "Logical Structure" and "Expressing Thoughts."

  3. Are you having difficulty with the lecture content in other parts of the course?

    • It's not difficult at all. The video is short, around 5-10 minutes long, and designed for easy listening. Furthermore, the slide content is as detailed as possible, ensuring that even those unable to hear the audio can still understand the content simply by watching the slides.

  4. Additionally, do I need to include other parts of the report?

    • Not necessarily. Students can choose to take the four sections of the report quality course based on their specific areas of weakness. However, since those who struggle with reports often struggle structurally across multiple areas rather than just one, we recommend taking the course in at least two areas.
