hello,
12-year product designer
This is Kang Younghwa 🙂

When I opened my eyes, I realized that I had already been a designer for 12 years.
As I've built a long career, I've been thankful to be working as someone who consistently creates digital products, achieves meaningful results, and solves problems.

Group coaching conducted last December

The reason I started giving this lecture was because I had a chance to meet with 100 coaches in a short period of time over the past year.

Personally, I've had a wonderful experience helping so many people. Through coaching, I've learned that the reason I'm able to work so well as a designer is because I have a lot of tacit knowledge.

I thought it would be helpful to the industry if I expanded on this a bit and talked about the fundamentals of how we solve problems. I'm confident it will be of great help to startup workers, designers, and product managers.

Some companies have a job title called Problem Solver, and all designer or PO/PM job postings mention the "problem-solving process," but there aren't many lectures that specifically address what problem-solving skills are.

I hope many people will take this course, work through the self-coaching checklist, and gain greater clarity about themselves, their projects, and their products. This, in turn, will empower them to effectively solve problems.

I love my work, and I've always enjoyed it as much as possible. Looking back, it wasn't always that way. Learning the methodology on my own was sometimes difficult and challenging. I want to share what I've learned with you, and help my colleagues in the industry improve their work methods.

Reviews and Testimonials 💫

Jaekyung Kim (Lemonbase Product Designer)

I felt like your lectures were specifically designed for designers. They weren't just vague stories or self-help books, but real, practical lessons! They detailed everything from the company's organizational structure to the unfolding process once a project begins .

Also, based on his own experience, he provides detailed explanations on various ways to work smarter as a designer. It doesn't simply stop at "Figma" or "User Journey," but rather, you'll hear unique insights, such as how to approach a service's lifecycle or product stage from different perspectives . It's like having an experienced senior lecturer sit next to you and explain everything step by step! This course is highly recommended not only for junior designers but also for experienced designers considering a career change .

Woo Jung-yeon (former Ringgle, Naver designer)

I believe metacognition and structuring my perspective are crucial in building a career, but I often find it difficult to pursue these skills on my own (the difficulty of objectification). It was helpful to be able to gain insight into these areas through self-examination and answering questions about them.

"Service planning" seems like a clear concept, but it varies from company to company and from person to person, so I often felt confused when I was a junior. However, by referencing Toss and Younghwa's case studies, I was able to develop my own problem-solving framework, which was great.

Mr. Joo Seon-woo (Musinsa Product Manager)

I really enjoyed your lectures, as they guided us through asking a variety of questions and providing guidance for self-coaching. In particular, you explain AARRR in other lectures, and I think it connects well with practical experience.

Rather than being confined to a certain framework, I think I'll be able to learn a variety of methods that I can use and apply them when and where I need them. It's like a problem-solving encyclopedia.

This is a lecture introduction video!
I can preview it to see if it will help me.

Thank you, Movie! When I listen to Movie’s lectures, I feel that the depth of my thoughts is expanding. Until early last year, I didn’t really know how to organize my thoughts, and I used to do things that I thought would look good to others rather than living a subjective life. Of course, I don’t think that life was bad, but because I had no subjectivity, it was a life like a reed that wavered here and there. After getting to know Movie, I’ve been living a more subjective life than before, and I’ve developed the habit of figuring out the reason for the task in front of me and the hidden intention before I act! It’s the same when I work. The best part of Movie’s lectures, of course, is the ‘checklist’ at the end of the lecture! It didn’t just tell me the right answer, but allowed me to solve it myself, so I was able to look at myself objectively and develop the habit of thinking more. At my current company, I am always thinking about how to make work my own, and practicing how to make the impossible possible! Thanks to that, I am receiving good evaluations. It is all thanks to you, Yeonghwa! This lecture helped me learn more about how product designers work and what kind of mindset they have when approaching work. I feel good starting this year with a good question from Yeonghwa! I will always support you!! Thank you~!~!💙

A lecture that can get into your head. It was so good because I could learn how to study and utilize the lecture content. He talks about the topic all the way through, and he summarizes what we've learned so far at the end, so it goes in really well. I've only completed the first lecture, but I'm planning on watching it a second time!!!!!!!!!! In particular, the examples in the middle that say, "Movies also had a hard time with this part," and "Movies also had times like this," were really helpful!! I learned a lot because I was able to learn how methodologies that I only knew superficially are used in practice with cases~! It's a really sweet lecture that also provides coaching and communication on Discord... A lecture that only I want to listen to...🩷

Hello:) I am a startup UX designer. Actually, I have taken many other lectures, but I don't think there was a lecture that was this helpful in reality. I feel refreshed after taking a lecture that only listed theories to fit the design of large corporations~!! In particular, the part where you explained the process in detail from planning to design was very helpful! The mental aspect of a designer is also really important, and since you even touched on that part, I feel like I can solve everything just by taking this one lecture. !!! I usually have a hard time concentrating when I listen to lectures, but this lecture is so fun that I keep listening to it. ㅎㅎ Thank you so much for making such a great lecture❤️

Hello Eugene :D I'm so happy that it was helpful in reality! I tried to include real-life stories, and I'm so grateful that you recognized it...! I'm sure you have many concerns and thoughts while listening to the lecture, so if you leave those questions in the student channel or on Inflearn, I think more people will get help! Thank you for leaving a review!
