Thank you, Movie! When I listen to Movie’s lectures, I feel that the depth of my thoughts is expanding. Until early last year, I didn’t really know how to organize my thoughts, and I used to do things that I thought would look good to others rather than living a subjective life. Of course, I don’t think that life was bad, but because I had no subjectivity, it was a life like a reed that wavered here and there. After getting to know Movie, I’ve been living a more subjective life than before, and I’ve developed the habit of figuring out the reason for the task in front of me and the hidden intention before I act! It’s the same when I work. The best part of Movie’s lectures, of course, is the ‘checklist’ at the end of the lecture! It didn’t just tell me the right answer, but allowed me to solve it myself, so I was able to look at myself objectively and develop the habit of thinking more. At my current company, I am always thinking about how to make work my own, and practicing how to make the impossible possible! Thanks to that, I am receiving good evaluations. It is all thanks to you, Yeonghwa! This lecture helped me learn more about how product designers work and what kind of mindset they have when approaching work. I feel good starting this year with a good question from Yeonghwa! I will always support you!! Thank you~!~!💙

A lecture that can get into your head. It was so good because I could learn how to study and utilize the lecture content. He talks about the topic all the way through, and he summarizes what we've learned so far at the end, so it goes in really well. I've only completed the first lecture, but I'm planning on watching it a second time!!!!!!!!!! In particular, the examples in the middle that say, "Movies also had a hard time with this part," and "Movies also had times like this," were really helpful!! I learned a lot because I was able to learn how methodologies that I only knew superficially are used in practice with cases~! It's a really sweet lecture that also provides coaching and communication on Discord... A lecture that only I want to listen to...🩷

Hello,
I’m Kang Young-hwa, a
12-year product designer
. 🙂

Before I knew it, I had already become a designer in my 12th year.
Thankfully, over the course of building a relatively long career, I have continued creating digital products, delivering meaningful results, and solving problems.

The group coaching held last December

The reason I decided to teach this course was that over the past year or so, I had the opportunity to meet with 100 coaches in an intensive way.

I personally found it incredibly rewarding to have helped so many people. Through coaching and through my coachees, I came to realize that I was able to work well as a designer because I had accumulated a great deal of tacit knowledge.

I thought it would be helpful to the industry if I expanded on this a little and shared some fundamental insights into how to solve problems. I became convinced it could also be a great help to startup professionals, designers, and PMs.

Some companies have introduced a role called Problem Solver, and job postings for designers and PO/PMs all mention "problem-solving processes," but there aren't many courses that clearly explain what problem-solving skills actually are.

I hope that after taking this course, many of you will work through the self-coaching checklist and gain greater clarity about yourselves, your projects, and your products. I hope this helps you become better at solving problems.

I enjoy working and have tried to enjoy it as much as possible. But looking back, that wasn’t always the case. Learning methodologies on my own was sometimes difficult and exhausting. Through this process, I want to share what I learned with you candidly and help improve the way my colleagues in the industry work.

You’ll learn the following!

How to work in practice

  • Service planning process

  • The roles of PO / PM / Service Planner / PD and the criteria for doing each role “well”

  • The structure of teams formed in the workplace

  • Collaborating “well” with various stakeholders

Practical Problem-Solving

  • Deepen your understanding of
yourself as the person solving problems through metacognition and structuring.

  • My Own Problem-Solving Process

  • Frameworks worth referring to (ICE, experiment design specifications, MECE, etc.)

  • The Pitfalls of Benchmarking

Practical Problem Solving Across Various Industries

  • AARRR

  • Retention

  • Understanding the Structure of the Business Division

  • A domain that’s right for me?

Data-Driven UX, User Research

  • Introduction to data literacy

  • User research methodologies you can use today

  • An introduction to how to effectively learn about data and research

You can also find various case studies on mobile design, service planning, UX planning, user interviews, product design, and problem-solving skills.

Jaekyung Kim (Product Designer at Lemonbase)

I felt that Younghwa's course is for the "people" who work as designers. Rather than vague stories or the kind of content found in self-help books, it covers real-world practice! It paints a detailed picture, from how a company is organized to what unfolds when a project begins.

It also offers a detailed explanation, based on Younghwa’s experience, of various ways to work smarter as a designer. Rather than simply stopping at "Figma" or the "user journey," you’ll hear insights you truly wouldn’t be able to hear anywhere else, such as approaching things from different perspectives depending on the service life cycle or product stage. It’s a course I highly recommend not only to juniors but also to designers considering a career move—it really feels like having a highly experienced senior sit beside you and explain everything step by step!!

Jeongyeon Woo (formerly a designer at Ringle and Naver)

In the process of building a career, I think metacognition and structuring an understanding of myself are extremely important, but there were many times when I found it difficult to work through these things on my own (the difficulty of being objective)! It was great to gain insight into these areas by answering the examples and questions for myself.

Although “service planning” seemed like a clear concept, it varied from company to company and person to person, so I often found it confusing when I was a junior. However, it was great to be able to create my own problem-solving framework by referring to Toss and Younghwa’s examples.

Sunwoo Joo (Product Manager at MUSINSA)

It was great that Younghwa’s course guided me to ask various questions and coach myself. In particular, there are many explanations of AARRR in other courses as well, but I found this one especially valuable because it connected well with real-world experience.

Rather than being confined to a single framework, I think I’ll be able to learn various methods I can put into practice and use them appropriately whenever needed. It feels like an encyclopedia of problem-solving.

Hello:) I am a startup UX designer. Actually, I have taken many other lectures, but I don't think there was a lecture that was this helpful in reality. I feel refreshed after taking a lecture that only listed theories to fit the design of large corporations~!! In particular, the part where you explained the process in detail from planning to design was very helpful! The mental aspect of a designer is also really important, and since you even touched on that part, I feel like I can solve everything just by taking this one lecture. !!! I usually have a hard time concentrating when I listen to lectures, but this lecture is so fun that I keep listening to it. ㅎㅎ Thank you so much for making such a great lecture❤️

Hello Eugene :D I'm so happy that it was helpful in reality! I tried to include real-life stories, and I'm so grateful that you recognized it...! I'm sure you have many concerns and thoughts while listening to the lecture, so if you leave those questions in the student channel or on Inflearn, I think more people will get help! Thank you for leaving a review!

I usually follow your Instagram, and when I heard that you were opening a lecture, I paid right away! As you can see from the curriculum, there was a lot of content that will be very helpful in my work and career. In particular, I learned more about the concepts of metacognition and structuring. These are methods that can be used not only in my work but also in my life, so I think my way of thinking has changed. I think the self-checklist provided during the lecture will be useful whenever I work on the job! My thinking system has expanded, and I regret that I didn't learn these concepts a little sooner so that I could have done my work more smoothly.. I plan to review this lecture periodically and internalize it 100%! It's worth the money.. I'm also reading the book you recommended, 'Thinking in Pictures Makes It Simple', and I really recommend it to those who want to apply the concept of structuring.
