I'm a 3rd year server developer and I really sympathize. I came here to study Unreal after a long time and was drawn in by the lecture title, but I think it really hit a lot of the sore spots... However, if I were to explain the additional advantages for the planners..? For example, in an MMO mobile game, if it's not a very big game (not LoA, WoW...), If it's a battle plan, when you make a new raid, you can still make raid concepts or skills after 3~4 years. If it's a system plan, you can make NPCs or quests that you imagine in the game (of course, there's a big framework that the higher-ups tell you to make). There's a basic framework (directing), but it varies depending on the team, but I think the part where you develop content to a certain degree with the concept you want is the fun part as a planner. I've only heard scary stories (100% fact, but...) so I'll just leave you with the fact that there's a carrot in there. I heard it well!

This is a lecture that pinpoints and tells you exactly what kind of talent a game company is looking for. Haha (This is my personal opinion, but why is Rookie so humorous? Haha)

What you will gain after the course

  • Game Planning

  • gaming industry

Having been in the industry for a long time, I get asked a lot of questions.

  • What does a game planner do?

  • What is the outlook for game designers?

  • What do you need to learn to become a good planner?

  • How can I come up with ideas?

  • Can I learn planning if I go to a game academy?

So, I've organized my personal thoughts.

Did you know that in most projects, game designers cannot <plan>?
This may come as a shock to many aspiring game planners, but
I have prepared realistic information about the industry that I have experienced.

This contains information that I hope my future <game planner> colleagues, who will be working with me in the future, will know.
Although it is full of subjective content, I hope it will serve as a guide for what to study in the future.

Introduction

I started game development purely out of curiosity to study hacking...
but as time passed, I somehow became a game developer in my 10th year.
"When will I ever be able to make a game at this rate?"
Starting from basic grammar that makes you sigh,
to gradually building my own game world.
And the sense of pride when seeing many players connect to that world.
The more I study, the more I can't escape the charm of MMORPGs.
I hope you can feel the same inspiration that I felt.

The sense of pride when seeing a large number of players. The more I study it, the more I find myself unable to escape the charm of MMORPGs. I hope you can feel the same inspiration that I felt.
