A great resume writing guide to get a job as a publisher

We will explain in detail how to write a resume that will appeal to recruiters for a publisher job. We recommend this for those who are having trouble knowing where to start writing a resume. We will explain how to write a publisher resume for new hires or transfers, with examples based on real cases. In addition, this is a resume writing guide that takes a cold-eyed view from the perspective of a recruiter, rather than from the perspective of an applicant. Along with how to write an appealing resume, we will provide points to emphasize, points to watch out for, and specific tips and resume templates created by Coding Works.

Lecture Features 🌈

Rather than a standardized and cliche resume, we will introduce in detail how to write a resume specialized for the publisher job. In addition to how to write a resume, we will also cover everything that publisher applicants are curious about from resume writing to interviews and employment, such as analyzing actual job postings, interview tips, and tips for choosing a good company.

Rather than writing a cliche and formulaic resume that 99% of people write on their resumes, such as motivation for applying, growth process, strengths and weaknesses of personality, and aspirations after joining the company , as a publisher applicant, you can write a competitive resume consisting of a self-introduction, understanding of the job, job skills, and an introduction of portfolio projects .

Prepare a great resume that will get you hired
Project (portfolio) introduction layout, design template
Examples of numerous mistakes applicants make on their resumes and how to improve them
Publisher Applicant Checklist
Analyze real job postings to choose a good company
Interview preparation and tips and tricks
Choosing a Good Company (Web Agency vs. In-House)
Frequently Asked Questions About Publisher Jobs
Solve your problem of how much publishers want their annual salary to be
Direction for creating a personal portfolio homepage

I recommend this to these people

This lecture is helpful to both new and experienced people preparing for employment or career changes at a publisher.

People who have difficulty starting to write their resume
People who want to write a really good resume rather than a formulaic and cliche resume/self-introduction
Those who want a resume that is not discarded during the document screening and that the hiring manager wants to read
Those who want to show how to appeal their skills in a resume with a short career history
Those who need a good resume when they are about to move to a publisher
Those who want to clearly demonstrate that they are capable new applicants
People who have applied for a job multiple times but still receive a message saying that their documents are being reviewed

Why is this resume writing guide created by Coding Works ?

Coding Works has been in publishing for a long time and has guided and observed numerous cases of students who have found employment as publishers, from the beginning to employment. That is why we know better than anyone what resumes are most necessary for publisher applicants, and we believe that this is the most realistic and optimal publisher employment resume writing guide course .

In the lecture content, you can see the traces of Coding Works' efforts to help numerous students improve their publishing skills and get jobs through interviews both online and offline.

This is not a resume writing guide that teaches you how to write well, but rather contains serious advice and tips from the perspective of a hiring manager. And I think you will be able to create a realistic and effective resume that will make you a standout publisher applicant.

In the resume guide lecture, you will learn about numerous precautions and tips based on actual publisher cases , and you can create a really nice publisher-specific resume like you've never seen before by looking at resume and self-introduction templates created by Coding Works .

What you get from the lecture 😀

After taking the class, I think you will be able to write a resume and self-introduction that will look good to anyone. I think it will be very helpful in organizing the content with basic guidelines when writing a resume.

It is difficult for a recruiter to keep an eye on an applicant's resume for more than a minute. That is why so many resumes are discarded during the document screening process. Most publisher applicants' resumes will be like that. So you need to write a resume that the recruiter wants to read and that will not be ignored during the document screening process.

Instead of a cliche and formulaic resume that includes things like motivation for applying, growth process, school life, educational activities, strengths and weaknesses of personality, and aspirations after joining the company , you will have a resume that focuses on your ‘publishing skills and understanding of the job’ for publisher applicants. So you can write a resume that will grab the attention of recruiters and not be ignored.

In addition to writing your resume, we will also give you detailed interview tips to help you pass the interview in Section 2 and Section 3, as well as the criteria for choosing a good company .

For students only
Publisher Job Community (Q&A) 🚩

Q) Can I only ask questions related to writing resumes and self-introductions in the student community?

A) No. You are welcome to ask various questions related to employment at a publisher.

[Guide to Writing a Great Resume for Publisher Jobs] Unlike other lectures, there may be various questions related to publisher job jobs. There may be various questions related to interviews, desired salaries, company selection, etc. If you have any questions, we will do our best to answer them, although it is Coding Works' personal opinion. And not only Coding Works, but also other students can post their opinions through replies and comments. As these various questions and answers accumulate, we believe that it will be of great help to students who have many questions about publisher job jobs.

(However, please refrain from posting questions like “Please review my personal portfolio homepage.” Leaking personal information is a problem, but it also takes at least 2-3 hours to prepare for a review, so please refrain from posting reviews of personal portfolio homepages.)

You can ask questions in the student community (Q&A) like the various question examples below!!

❓ Is a web design specialist certificate important as a publisher certificate?
❓ I recently got a job offer for a salary of 26 million won and a 90% raise during the 6-month training period. Is that okay?
❓ My highest level of education is a high school graduate. Can I apply to be a publisher?
❓ How do I submit my Web Publisher Portfolio? As a URL? As a file?
❓ Is it okay for a web publisher to do CS work?
❓ I am applying as a new web publisher, and my company is a shopping mall based on Cafe24. What do you think?
❓ I am a newbie web publisher without a major. I set my desired salary at 2700, but I haven't received an interview call. Is it because of the desired salary? Is it a portfolio issue?
❓ I am a new publisher applicant. Which is better, an agency or in-house?
❓ I am a female new applicant. Should I wear a suit to the interview?

Expected Questions Q&A 💬

Q. Is this lecture only for new publisher applicants?

No. I think it is good to look at both new and experienced resumes. A resume that well expresses job skills and capabilities is necessary for both new and experienced resumes.

Q. Is the lecture only about how to write a resume?

No. In addition to how to write a resume, there are various contents for job hunting such as self-introductions written with job skills as the main focus, analysis of actual job postings, interview tips, and actual interview questions.

Q. I haven't started my resume yet. Should I still take the course?

It's okay. The current lecture is not a lecture that slightly modifies the existing resume. It's a lecture that almost completely changes everything. It may actually be better to not have an existing resume because you can start without any fixed ideas.

Q. The national publishing process has not yet been completed. When should I write my resume?

Regardless of the end of the course you are studying, it is a good idea to prepare your resume in advance. You will learn more about this in the lecture content, but the method of writing a resume can also serve as a guideline for what areas you need to improve your skills in the future for employment as a publisher. Rather than the concept of writing a resume in advance, you can prepare publishing skills and publishing results according to that resume by watching the resume writing guide lecture.

Q. I don't currently have a personal portfolio website. Can I still prepare my resume?

Yes, it is a good idea to prepare in advance. The lecture content explains how to create a personal portfolio homepage for employment and what kind of content and how much to include. I think this part will be helpful.

❤ News of passing the publisher exam for Coding Works students

▲ A student who studied under me for about 4 and a half months in a nationally funded publishing course received a KakaoTalk message saying that he got a job.

▲ I received a KakaoTalk message about the interview results for students who took the offline course on creating a personal portfolio at Coding Works (April 24, 2023).

❤ Email sent by a Coding Works student after getting a job at a publisher

Hello teacher :)

Teacher, I am Kim O-jeong, a student who was taking Inflearn's lectures.
I am a student who sent an email this summer asking for advice on my personal portfolio.
Do you remember?😊😊

It's nothing else than,
I'm sending this email to tell you that I successfully landed a job at a publisher with the portfolio I received advice on from you!

Even!!
The company contacted me first after seeing the portfolio I posted on Saramin, and I was interviewed via Zoom and passed!
The company matched my desired salary, and I was able to join a company where I could do only publisher work, not design or development work.

It was a company looking for an experienced publisher, and they contacted me, a new employee, and asked me why they contacted me.
He said that he looked at a lot of other people's portfolios, but he contacted me because the "Functional Definition" in my portfolio caught his eye.

I think this is all thanks to the teacher's lectures.
If I hadn't taken the teacher's class, my portfolio would have just been ordinary, but I was able to successfully get a job thanks to the great tips the teacher gave me!

Although I have never actually met him,
While creating my portfolio, I relied on it a lot, trusted it, and worked hard while watching the teacher's lectures!

I feel like my skills have improved a lot in the three months I spent listening to the teacher's lectures and creating a portfolio, more than the skills I built up while taking long classes at the academy.

I desperately wanted it,
I believed and did as the teacher said and the results were really good.

Thank you so much!

Be careful of corona
I hope to see you again with another great lecture :)

Hello teacher~ I'm Inflearn student OOO~ I found out the email address from another student's answer..😊😊

I just wanted to say thank you 😊😊

I've had a hard time taking your class and submitting my resume for about two weeks now...
I passed the interview at a company and decided to come to work.. Thank you so much..😭😭

Actually, I was worried because I'm 32 years old. I submitted a lot of resumes, but I didn't get any calls.
But this company's HR manager said that he doesn't like people who graduated from private academies 😊😊
The company I decided to join is small, but it has developers and web designers.
They said they would train them for three months and then put them into practice.
It's a bit far and the salary is low, but I'm going to study hard and try to increase my salary~ 😊😊

Thank you so much for everything. You answered my questions so well, and I am so amazed that I got a job after taking this online class.

I will continue to study and improve my skills by listening to your lectures. Fighting~!

🙋🏻‍♂️ Please read before asking questions~!!

If you have any questions while learning, please ask. When asking questions, you must upload the content that is not working, the code, and a screenshot of the browser result. In the case of code, you must upload all HTML, CSS, and JS codes so that we can give you an accurate answer.

If you only describe your problem in text without any code in your question, it will be difficult to give you an accurate answer unless it is really simple. Then, I will have no choice but to reply again saying, 'Please upload HTML, CSS, JS code and browser capture~', which will be cumbersome and take more time to find a solution.

Hello teacher! I finally got a job as a web publisher and am writing a course review. Do you remember when you answered my concerns before? (I looked it up and it was 2 years ago^^;;;) I met the wrong instructor at the national academy and wasted my time, money, and mentally broken, and bad coding habits were a plus... After wandering through several lectures, I finally decided to change jobs this year and listened to everything from the publishing core theory pdf lecture to the practical publishing season 1/2, website portfolio, etc. and created a portfolio. It wasn't a perfect portfolio, but in the end, during the interview, they told me that I was the talent they were looking for and that they really wanted me to work with their company, so I got the job^_^~!!! When I was asked to talk about my strengths during the interview, I remembered the teacher talking about good coding habits, so I spontaneously answered that I have clean coding habits, and he said that was the first time he had answered like that, and he said, "Let's check it out," and he was satisfied after seeing the Google clone coding site I created. I was lucky that you uploaded the publisher personal portfolio homepage, resume writing guide, etc. right during my job-seeking period. I feel reassured that it will be helpful when I move to another job later. Of course, I worked hard while watching the lectures, but I still wouldn't have been able to do it without the teacher's lectures. Thank you for being with me for a long time. I'm scared to start a new career as a publisher, but I think it'll be okay if I keep watching the lectures and studying. Thank you so much again!!!

Like, like... While preparing for a job change from a designer, I really thought... Writing a resume is difficult and there is nothing easy... I have never made a general resume format because I made a designer-only(?) resume. So it was so different from what I had thought.. But, since you made sure to write down your desired salary, didn't write down things like emergency contact information, and made sure to include a photo, the interviewer explained in detail and even gave examples of job skills, so I felt like I got it. Now that I'm done with that part, there's not much lecture left, so I have to listen to it all. See you on Zoom. I'm going to apply. Thank you for the great lecture><999!!
