🤬 Damn it, I can't do this anymore!

Starting as a non-major in development and working as CTO at various companies, I am currently active as an educator, Park Jaesung. I also had a time when I first studied AWS after deciding to become a developer from a non-major background.

The first feeling I had when studying AWS was 'overwhelming confusion'.

Because even when I looked at the official documentation, it was too difficult to understand. People who are good at development say that just reading the official documentation is enough, but no matter how much I looked at it, I couldn't understand it. I couldn't understand what it was saying.

And the terminology used in AWS was also very unfamiliar. When I saw terms like 'region, security group, VPC, EBS, provisioning' that I had never heard before in my life, I got intimidated right away.

Since I also went through such difficulties, I thought I should create lectures that explain things in an easy way that even non-majors can fully understand.

✨ 4 Points I Focused on While Creating the Course

I thought it should be easy to follow and understand for someone studying AWS for the first time. So I tried to explain difficult terms and principles in a way that even non-majors can easily understand.

I thought that if you can't apply what you've learned in real situations even after completing the entire course, then it's a poorly designed course. I tried to structure it as a practical course that can be immediately applied to real work, rather than an academic approach that deeply studies theory.

I've experienced over 50 projects so far. During this time, I compiled only the AWS services that I consistently and frequently set up as essentials. In other words, I curated the table of contents by selecting only the AWS services frequently used in the field.

While it's important to know how to actually utilize specific AWS services, the ability to understand the overall big picture is also crucial. That's why I've also added explanations about architecture on how to configure infrastructure.

👍 These types of people would benefit from taking this course!

Someone who has difficulty
learning AWS by watching
YouTube or blogs

Non-CS major background, so
slow to understand
difficult concepts and terminology

You've completed your project
but don't know
how to deploy it

🙊 After completing this course?

You will be able to deploy web pages or backend servers using AWS. You will be able to deploy not just for learning purposes, but in the way that is actually used in real work environments.

Reference Notes

If you know basic Linux commands and Git (+Github) and have backend API server development experience, you'll be able to take the course much more easily. However, even if you don't know the above content, there's no major problem in acquiring AWS knowledge! If you encounter any parts you don't understand while studying, please use the Q&A board to ask questions right away😊

🚨 Make sure to check what kind of person is providing the education!

If you meet the wrong doctor, you might face death because your illness can't be cured at that moment. However, death ends with the pain of that moment. But if you meet the wrong teacher and receive poor education, you will suffer throughout your entire life.

Wrong education can lead you to an unwanted company, receive a smaller salary than expected, and potentially suffer for the rest of your life. Not only that, but the wrong education you received can also be passed down to your children as a legacy of poor education.

Education can truly change a person's life in a positive way, but on the other hand, I think it can also completely ruin a person's life. That's why I believe education carries such heavy responsibility.

Therefore, please check who is providing the education, what kind of person they are, and what path they have walked, and make a careful judgment.

👋 Hello!
I'm finally introducing myself now ( ⸝⸝•ᴗ•⸝⸝ )੭⁾⁾

Hello!

I started studying development as someone from a non-technical background. Before I knew it, I've already become a 6-year veteran developer! Recently, I've been working as a developer while serving as CTO at two companies. Whenever I have time, I've been doing coding lectures, company development consulting, and giving talks.

The number of students I've taught has now exceeded 24,000 (as of July 2025)! Every time I teach various students, I always feel the same way - I can't forget the sense of fulfillment from education, so I plan to continue providing education consistently on Inflearn.
(* Among students, successful candidates have been produced for Kakao Pay, Yanolja, and Woowa Brothers)

Just as I received a lot of help during difficult and challenging times, I wanted to become someone who could help many other people as well. And I felt most proud and happy when the value I created through development had a positive impact on others.

For these reasons, I hope that by giving and sharing what I have worked hard to achieve, those people can live a slightly better life.

Thank you!

Park Byeong-wook (Woowa Brothers Software Engineer)

I believe that studying AWS is not an easy task for someone who is just starting to enter development. This course is carefully designed step by step with a hands-on approach so that beginners can easily follow along. Therefore, it's a course where those who have vague fears about AWS learning can build infrastructure knowledge without burden. I'm confident that if you experience building infrastructure directly based on the knowledge learned in this course, you will have become a developer who has grown one step further.

Juhee Hyun (Kakao Pay Software Engineer)

This course empathizes with the difficulties encountered when first studying AWS and focuses on resolving those challenges. Based on easy-to-understand explanations and real-world experience, it helps you immediately apply essential AWS services. Additionally, it includes lectures not only on individual AWS services but also on overall architecture, helping you understand the big picture. It is recommended for beginners starting to learn AWS or those experiencing confusion with deployment.

Hwang Jin-seong (Kurly Software Engineer)

When I first used AWS, there were times when I got charged without realizing it, but this course has several safety measures in place. You can conduct hands-on practice by making the most of the free tier, and it shows you how to clean up resources at the end of each topic. I think this will be a great help in developing the habit of preventing unnecessary charges.

This course is a perfect lecture for AWS beginners. You can systematically learn the cloud technologies most commonly used in the field. Additionally, thanks to extensive teaching experience, difficult technologies are explained in a way that even beginners can easily understand. If you are not yet familiar with cloud technology, I strongly recommend taking this course.

Hello, Instructor Park Jae-seong~ First of all, thank you for giving an easy-to-understand lecture. As a supplementary lecture or follow-up lecture, please make a practical lecture that organically connects the practical exercises of each subtopic to each other so that it feels like working on one large project. I would also like to request lectures on ECS and EKS.

AWS was hard to try out because I was worried about spending money when I was doing it alone, but since you explained it well so that I could do it with the free tier, I was able to follow along with peace of mind! The explanations are easy to understand and I'm having fun listening to it! The lectures aren't long, but they cover everything I wanted to do, so they're really informative! Now I think I'll be able to deploy my own projects!!! And I really like that there's a one-on-one open chat room. You reply quickly, so I use it whenever I have questions!! Thank you~ If you film a sequel or CI/CD next time, I'll come listen right away~!

Thank you ju_h2! Judging from the detailed questions you asked in the open chatroom, it seems like you'll be able to learn AWS quickly!! Cheer up and keep challenging yourself until the end~~ I'll film the CI/CD lectures soon tooㅎㅎ

It introduces all the AWS knowledge necessary for light project deployment such as toy project, capstone, and side project. I studied AWS in the wild, and I always used it with more fear because I didn't know it properly, but I think I was able to fill in the usage and concepts more thoroughly with this lecture. There is no difficulty from the content to the explanation and practice method, so I think it will be a great help especially for beginners. Thank you for the great lecture.

I have used AWS before, but rather than knowing it properly, I used it only when I needed it urgently, and I felt like these things were being organized while listening to the lecture. I think this lecture can be a good roadmap for beginners who are just starting out with AWS. Thank you for providing a great lecture!

I was looking for a lecture to study AWS for the first time and I happened to find this lecture. The part about the study method was very helpful, and it was very good that there were supplementary lectures after the theory and practice. Also, it emphasized that you should not just listen to the lecture and finish, but that you should be able to make something on your own, so I am trying without giving up! I hope you will give many other lectures in the future!!

Thank you moonho4199! I'm so touched that the parts of the lecture that I put so much effort into were helpful to you. I'll try to make even better lectures in the future!
