If you really need to learn Linux urgently for practical use, I reeeeally recommend this course. The instructor kindly teaches the essential Linux basics that you absolutely must know. Therefore, Linux beginners should definitely take this course as a must. After watching this course, I would be grateful if the instructor could open other Linux-related courses like this one. This course isn't just recommended - it's a must-take course for anyone entering the IT industry. It's a really great course.

If you're a Linux beginner, you must take this course. I encountered Linux for the first time in my life at a bootcamp and have been taking Linux classes there, but because bootcamps naturally move through material very quickly, my mental state was completely shattered. However, after taking this course, I'm starting to gradually understand the content from classes and books, and I'm slowly gaining confidence. While it doesn't cover all Linux content, this course is giving me the ability to study on my own!!!

I was worried because I'm not from a computer science background, but the course structure of introducing Linux, learning commands used in real-world scenarios, and internalizing them through practice and hands-on experience is excellent! If you're new to Linux or worried because you're not from a CS background, I highly recommend Instructor Park Jae-seong's course!!

What you will gain after the course

  • Someone who is learning Linux for the first time

  • Those who have struggled with Permission denied errors

  • Anyone who has struggled with a "port already in use" error

  • For those who want to quickly learn Linux commands that are frequently used in practice

  • Those who want to learn frequently used Linux commands when operating an actual backend server

🤬 Linux commands keep holding me back...

I started as a non-CS major developer, worked as CTO at several companies, and now I'm an educator. My name is Park Jaesung.

When I was a student, I self-studied development to become a backend developer. But the more I learned backend-related concepts, the more Linux commands held me back. I had to enter Linux commands when running backend servers, and I had to use Linux commands when installing programs too.

At first, I barely managed to follow along by copying and pasting Linux commands that people had written on their blogs, just trying to get things to work somehow. But I was just blindly typing along without even knowing what the Linux commands I was entering meant.

Studying this way, when I entered a command and an error occurred, it was difficult to analyze what caused the problem and difficult to solve it. So I decided to study Linux in earnest.

So I bought a thick Linux book to learn Linux. However, since this book had all the concepts related to Linux organized in it, it felt overwhelming to study everything, and I couldn't get a sense of how to apply what I learned in practice. Looking back now, I felt like I had studied a bunch of commands that aren't really used much in actual work.

So I created this course so that people learning Linux for the first time can learn it efficiently and practically. The fastest way to learn something is to focus on the most frequently used and essential content, and apply it directly in real situations. That's how you become familiar quickly and learn faster.

The goal of this course is to quickly learn the Linux commands that are frequently used when developing, deploying, and operating actual services, so that you can immediately apply them in practice. I hope you don't study Linux inefficiently like I did, but instead learn only the essential and frequently used Linux commands in practice through this course.

I'll see you in the lecture😊

👍 This course is great for:

Those who are having difficulty learning Linux by watching YouTube or blogs

Those who come from a non-technical background
and are slow to understand
difficult concepts and terminology

People who are held back by Linux commands
while studying
development

🙊 What will you gain after completing this course?

You will be able to learn essential Linux concepts and commands frequently used in practice. Furthermore, you will also learn in what real-world situations you would use the Linux commands you've learned.

🚨 Make sure to check who is providing the education!

If you meet the wrong doctor, you could die from not being able to cure your illness at that moment. However, death ends with that moment of suffering. But if you meet the wrong teacher and receive poor education, you will suffer throughout your entire life.

Due to poor education, you may end up at an unwanted company, receive a smaller salary than expected, and suffer for the rest of your life as a result. Not only that, but the poor education you received gets passed down to your children as well.

I believe that education can truly change a person's life in a positive way, but on the other hand, it can also completely ruin a person's life. That's how much I think education carries a heavy responsibility.

Therefore, please check who is providing the education, what kind of person they are, what path they have walked, and make a careful judgment.

👋 Hello!
I'm finally introducing myself ( ⸝⸝•ᴗ•⸝⸝ )੭⁾⁾

Hello!

I started studying development as a non-major. Before I knew it, I've become a 6-year developer! Recently, I worked as a developer while serving as CTO at 2 companies. Whenever I had time, I've been doing coding lectures, company development consulting, and speaking engagements.

The number of students I've taught has now exceeded 24,000 (as of July 2025)! Every time I teach my students, I feel the same way - I can't forget the sense of fulfillment from education, so I plan to continue teaching consistently on Inflearn.
(* Students have been accepted to Kakao Pay, Yanolja, and Woowa Brothers)

Just as I received a lot of help when I was going through difficult and challenging times, I wanted to become someone who could help many other people. And I felt most proud and happy when the value I created through development had a positive impact on others.

For these reasons, I hope that by sharing and giving what I've worked hard to achieve, those people can live a slightly better life.

Thank you!
