What you will gain after the course

  • First-time Linux learners

  • Anyone who's struggled with Permission deined error?

  • Anyone who has suffered from a 'port already in use' error

  • Quick learners of practical Linux commands.

  • Learn frequently used Linux commands for actual backend server operation.

🤬 Linux commands keep tripping me up...

I'm Park Jaesung, who started development as a non-major, worked as CTO at various companies, and am currently active as an educator.

When I was a student, I used to self-study development to become a backend developer. However, the more I learned backend-related concepts, the more Linux commands held me back. I had to input Linux commands when running backend servers, and I also had to use Linux commands when installing various programs.

At first, I somehow tried to make it work by copying and pasting Linux commands that people had written on blogs, barely managing to follow along. But I was just blindly typing along without even knowing what the Linux commands I was entering meant.

As I studied this way, when I entered a command and an error occurred, it was difficult to analyze what caused the problem and also difficult to resolve it. So I decided that I needed to study Linux in earnest.

But when I actually tried to learn Linux, I bought a thick Linux book. However, this book had all the Linux-related concepts organized in it, which made it overwhelming to study everything, and I couldn't get a sense of how to apply what I learned in real practice. Looking back now, I feel like I studied a bunch of commands that aren't really used much in actual work.

That's why I created this course so that people learning Linux for the first time can learn Linux efficiently and practically. When learning something, the fastest way to learn is to focus on the content that is really frequently used and essential, and to immediately apply it in real situations. That way, you can quickly become familiar with it and learn faster.

The goal of this course is to quickly learn the Linux commands that are frequently used when developing, deploying, and operating actual services, so that you can immediately apply them in real-world situations. I hope you don't study Linux inefficiently like I did, but instead learn only the essential Linux commands that are frequently used in practice through this course.

Then I'll see you in the lecture😊

👍 Great for these types of people to listen to!

Someone who is having difficulty learning
Linux by watching YouTube or blogs

Non-CS major background,
slow to understand
difficult concepts and terminology

Someone who is studying development
but gets held back
by Linux commands

🙊 After completing this course?

You will be able to learn essential Linux concepts and commands frequently used in practice. Additionally, you will also learn in what practical situations you would use the Linux commands you've learned.

🚨 Make sure to check what kind of person is providing the education!

If you meet the wrong doctor, you might face death because your illness can't be cured at that moment. But death is something that ends with the pain of that moment. However, if you meet the wrong teacher and receive poor education, you will suffer throughout your entire life.

Wrong education can lead you to an unwanted company, receive a smaller salary than expected, and potentially suffer for the rest of your life. Not only that, but the wrong education you received can also be passed down to your children as a legacy of poor education.

Education can truly change a person's life in a positive way, but on the other hand, it can also completely ruin a person's life. That's why I believe education carries such heavy responsibility.

Therefore, please check who is providing the education, what kind of person they are, and what path they have walked, and make a careful judgment.

👋 Hello!
I'm finally introducing myself now ( ⸝⸝•ᴗ•⸝⸝ )੭⁾⁾

Hello!

I started studying development as a non-computer science major. Before I knew it, I've already become a 6-year veteran developer! Recently, I worked as a developer while serving as CTO at two companies. Whenever I had free time, I've been doing coding lectures, company development consulting, and giving talks.

The number of students I've taught has now exceeded 24,000 (as of July 2025)! Every time I teach various students, I always feel the same way - I can't forget the sense of fulfillment from education, so I plan to continue providing education consistently on Inflearn.
(* Among students, successful candidates for Kakao Pay, Yanolja, and Woowa Brothers have been produced)

Just as I received a lot of help during difficult and challenging times, I wanted to become someone who could help many other people as well. And I felt most proud and happy when the value I created through development had a positive impact on others.

For these reasons, I hope that by giving and sharing what I have worked hard to achieve, those people can live a slightly better life.

Thank you!

While operating services at my current workplace, I frequently use Linux (Red Hat), and this course has been tremendously helpful. I was able to properly understand and apply commands that I only knew superficially before, and experiencing firsthand that the commands covered in the lectures are frequently used in actual work made me feel even more grateful that I took this course. The instructor's diction and expressiveness were excellent, and everything was very easy to understand. Thank you. I was worried because I'm not from a computer science background, but the course structure of introducing Linux, learning commands used in real-world scenarios, and internalizing them through practice and hands-on experience is excellent! If you're new to Linux or worried because you're not from a CS background, I highly recommend Instructor Park Jae-seong's course!!
