This is a free Q&A livestream where Hong, a server developer in Pangyo who works full-time while creating content and sharing knowledge, answers questions submitted in advance. It’s great for job seekers and career changers, students in government-funded boot camps, Java, Python, and JavaScript learners, and anyone curious about how working developers use AI coding tools like ChatGPT and Claude Code. There’s no set topic—the questions you send will become the topic of the livestream. I’ll answer honestly about company work and content creation. A recording will be provided, and during the livestream, I’ll share links to apply for course coupons and free 1:1 mentoring.
I started studying development after becoming interested in it while idling at home, and I am currently responsible for platform server development in Pangyo. I am continuing my activities as a knowledge sharer because I want to provide you with the methods I used to study, as well as the various problems and solutions you may encounter in practice.
These lectures are not created solely through my own knowledge. There are others who collaborate on every lecture.

WHO
So, who is Hong: a Pangyo server developer and an Inflearn knowledge sharer
PANGYO · PLATFORM SERVER ENGINEER
Hong
I became interested in development while lounging around at home and started studying. After working on blockchain and metaverse backends, I now develop platform servers in Pangyo. I started by creating courses on backends, distributed systems, and databases, and for the past year, I’ve been creating AI courses. In my day-to-day work, I use over $1,000 worth of Claude Code every month and am turning that experience into a course.
Current Pangyo platform server developer
Former metaverse backend developer
Former blockchain developer specializing in The Sandbox IP-related projects
Inflearn knowledge sharer. "Sharing knowledge is a habit for me."
Courses aren't created alone. We work with current developers as a team, and we also have team members waiting to join us!!

People who took Hong’s courses say this:

“Of all the courses I’ve taken on Inflearn, this was by far my favorite, and I learned a great deal. I think this is the first course where I’ve actually trained a real model and then made it operate based on what it learned. In practice, I’ve only been using something like Claude or Codex because they work well, but after learning this, I realized I had really been a frog in a well.”

“While taking your courses and studying... I’m currently working as a developer at Kakao, and … it seems like you always structure your courses around new topics and approaches. Another characteristic is that they’re a bit rough around the edges, hahaha. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even though you proceed in a somewhat rough manner, I think they’re very helpful if you focus on the content itself, so personally, they suit my style very well.”

“You’re the only knowledge sharer on Inflearn whose updates I turn on notifications for and make sure to watch every time... You always explain the theory through a variety of diagrams, and as stated in the introduction, 90% of the course consists of hands-on practice. That makes it all the more useful and fun. Rather than always sticking to a rigidly structured course, you explain things realistically, which suits my style better. (You do make mistakes occasionally, lol, but you also coolly admit them.)”

“I had been using agent tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Hermes purely for convenience, without knowing at all how they worked internally. But after taking this course, the usage methods suggested by each agent felt entirely new to me. … After completing the section where we built an agent ourselves, the tools I was normally familiar with felt completely different.”

“First, I studied the instructor’s Kafka course, which helped me immensely. I was so impressed that I came to admire the instructor greatly, so I decided to take this course as well. … The instructor teaches not only simple query tuning but also internal mechanisms and tuning techniques. Seeing that, I thought, ‘Ah, this person recognized that AI can handle simple tasks and created the course with that in mind.’”

“I’m a junior server developer currently working at a small startup after preparing for employment with extensive reference to the instructor’s lectures. … Through this course, I came to realize that I should think beyond CRUD and consider greater diversity and architecture. I also conducted a POC at my company on this topic, and everyone praised it as an excellent subject...”

“Since you made this course as a Lunar New Year special, I immediately paid for it and started watching!! I often watch your courses, and every time, I feel like you cover only the key points with really great content!! … If you simply want to learn about the Redis service, I don’t think there’s anything better than this course.”

“As a developer with 4 years of experience, I’ve been developing in the field... I didn’t realize this was a course where I could learn MySQL in such depth. I’d recommend this course to anyone who says, "I only know how to write basic queries." I believe that the better you understand databases, the more diverse patterns you can implement when applying them to services, beyond query tuning—and I learned a great deal. A truly refreshing course...!”

“I don’t think you should say you know Kafka until you can explain the content of this course to someone else. … In fact, even a mentor with 15 years of experience in the field said they hadn’t had a chance to apply these topics... Whether you’re a junior or senior developer, you absolutely must take this course. It’s truly an excellent topic.”

“I’ve watched so many of your courses. I’ve taken all of them, from your earliest courses to the two most recently opened ones, and as your teaching skills continue to improve—and since you’re already highly skilled—I feel like you’re becoming someone whose incredibly valuable content I selfishly want to keep all to myself.”

“I honestly don’t use Inflearn much, but I think this is 1000% better than courses that merely talk a good game and make things seem plausible. I didn’t know until now that there were courses that actually show you how to implement things and make them work. … This is my first time leaving a course review, and I think this is quite an impressive course.”

I really liked that, starting with simple command tests, 90% of the course consists of hands-on practice. … Honestly, Kubernetes was very difficult, but after taking this course, I don’t feel that it’s difficult anymore.”

HOW IT WORKS
We’ll conduct the live session based on Q&A.
STEP 1
Feel free to leave your questions!!
Please write any questions you have in the advance question link below. Whether they’re long, minor, or pointed, all are welcome.
STEP 2
I’ll answer your questions live.
We’ll address the questions in the order they come in. If there’s time left, feel free to ask questions directly in the chat.
STEP 3
It’s okay if you miss it!! We’ll provide a recording!
After the live session ends, I’ll upload the recording. You can watch it again anytime, with no expiration.
The topics I have in mind are along these lines. Feel free to ask me anything.
Q.How does a server developer in Pangyo spend their day?
Q.How did you create 30 courses while working at a company? Do you ever sleep?
Q.How did you come to create things together with developers from Kakao, Toss, Naver, and Silicon Valley?
Q.I spend over $1,000 a month on Claude Code—is it worth it?
Q.If I want to get a job in backend development, which should I learn first: Java, Python, or JavaScript?
Q.Why did you move from creating only backend courses to creating AI courses?
Q.From blockchain to the metaverse and platform servers. How did you change jobs?
Q.What are you creating for your next course?
Q.What changes when you switch from just using ChatGPT to Claude Code?
Q.What else do I need to do to get a job after completing a government-funded boot camp?
FOR WHOM
People who would benefit from this course:
Those who have taken even one Hong course and are curious about who created it
People who are curious about how to balance their company work with content creation
Those who want to hear firsthand how AI coding tools are actually used in the workplace
Those currently attending or having completed a government-funded boot camp and feeling unsure about what to do next
Those who would like to apply for free 1:1 mentoring
MENTORING
Free 1:1 Mentoring, Five People
There are things you may want to discuss that we can’t cover during the live session. Matters such as your code, your résumé, or your personal situation need to be addressed one-on-one.
So, separately from the live session, we would like to select five people for free mentoring!!
Hong doesn't normally offer mentoring!! This is the first event of its kind to be held on an Inflearn Live.
We’ll provide the application link during the live session!! If you feel stuck in your current career, please describe your situation and what’s holding you back, and apply for mentoring during the live session!!
