Substance Painter is a 3D painting tool that utilizes a physically based renderer. As the name Painter suggests, you can work with the texture of 3D graphics as if you were painting it.
The purpose of this lecture is to provide an understanding of multi-materials and channels and a workflow diagram for Substance Painter. This course is designed to help students working in game design or graphics, or job seekers, understand the multi-maps used in games.

This course uses Substance Painter 2018 version 3.0 , so we recommend that you have that version or higher. Substance Painter requires significantly more computer hardware. Q. Can non-majors and beginners also take the course? A. This course is a basic course that begins with installing Substance Painter. However, prior experience with 3D graphics tools like 3DSMAX and Maya is required, as it covers features that can be utilized by those with experience using them. (This course uses 3DSMAX in conjunction with other tools.)
