System design where you can't get promoted if you don't know

It was good to get hints to think about system design through various cases! These days, as the cloud is the trend, there are various services, and it seems important to combine those services well to create an appropriate architecture. System design is like a vast ocean, so there are many cases where you wander around looking for the right answer, and it seems even more difficult to find a case that fits you 100%. So I think it is important to see and hear more diverse cases. In the lecture, each engineer gives a compact explanation of various system designs. I also got inspiration from this lecture and it was very helpful. In addition, since you consistently upload additional videos, I feel that the value of the lecture is increasing! You even provided lecture materials, so it was good to review on my own! Thank you for making a great lecture! 😊

The detailed explanation of how to configure systems in each field was very helpful in practice. Especially, it was a ray of light when I was struggling without much domain knowledge :) I was about to search around and do some digging to configure a mass message transmission system and an advertising system, but I found this lecture and am now able to smoothly proceed with the project. I wanted to expand my knowledge of system design, so I took this course. What I liked - I liked learning about the internal structure of systems that I might encounter in enterprise environments or in real life. - The instructor covered how to define the requirements for a project(?) every time, so I was able to get a sense of how I should approach my work in the future. - The fact that the lectures were given by American engineers who I have always admired gave me a sense of what it's like to work in that field. What I didn't like - The quality of the recorded lectures was disappointing. If you're looking for detailed designs, this course might not be the best choice for you, since it focuses on system design. I plan to apply what I learned in this course to my work by drilling down further. Thank you for the great lectures.

I recently read Alex Xu's System Design Interview book and he explained the parts I didn't understand again, which greatly improved my learning effectiveness. I usually didn't know how to start system design, but this lecture really showed me the way. Thanks to that, I was able to systematically understand important concepts and it was a really beneficial experience. I hope to continue learning through more great lectures in the future.

I bought this to prepare for interviews, but I'm getting more out of it than just interview prep. As a software developer, I only thought I needed to know about the implemented infrastructure, but this book goes beyond that and allows me to think broadly about what infrastructure I can choose and where to put it depending on the function.

It was a really informative lecture! The systematic explanation of everything from large-scale system design principles to architectural patterns made the concepts easy to understand, and the analysis of real-world cases helped to concretize abstract concepts. In particular, the parts related to scalability were practical enough to be applied directly in the field. Load balancing, caching strategies, database sharding, and other concepts that I had difficulty understanding were clearly explained, which was very helpful. However, some of the content may be a bit difficult for beginners. I think this lecture is more suitable for those with basic software development experience. Overall, this lecture greatly improved my understanding of system design, and I am now able to make better decisions in practice.
