The Next Step for AI: Reviewing and Reporting on My Documents and Data

Review opinion classification drafts against the source text, compare packaging, minimum order quantities, lead times, and costs in PDF and Excel quotes, and verify the figures by defining the time period, refunds, and denominator. Correct errors in actual AI responses, create reports and supporting CSVs, and repeatedly apply the process to new materials.

What you will gain after the course

  • Diagnose the source, column mappings, and denominator, then review the AI draft against the original.

  • Quotation unit, minimum order, unconfirmed costs and timelines, refunds, and rate-of-change verification

Verify AI results against the source and the numbers, and create a report with traceable evidence.

In this course, you’ll review a draft opinion classification against the original text and compare packaging, minimum order quantities, lead times, and costs in PDF and Excel quotes. You’ll define time periods, refunds, and denominators to verify the figures, correct errors in actual AI responses, and create a company-format report with a supporting CSV. You’ll repeat the same process with a new CSV and an independent assignment.

Learning Objectives

• Diagnose the source of the opinion, column mappings, and denominator, then review the AI draft against direct quotations from the original text.

• Verify the quote’s units, minimum order, unconfirmed costs, duration, refund, and rate of change.

• Create reports and supporting CSVs, and apply them to new materials.

Provided materials

We provide practice code, educational synthetic data, a getting-started document, installation instructions, and blank assignment templates for 14 lessons. Automatic entry into the company’s existing DOCX/XLSX files is not included.

Prerequisites and Scope of Support

You need a computer, an archive extraction tool, a browser, Python, a terminal, and a network connection for installing packages. You’ll use the provided programs and configuration files rather than writing code from scratch, and we’ll guide you through the basics of installing Python, running terminal commands, and editing JSON. Generating new AI content requires a separate service that you have permission to use; access to such a service is not provided. The verified environment is a fresh virtual environment on macOS arm64 with Python 3.12. Windows installation and execution have not been verified.

AI Usage Notice

This course uses AI-generated voices. The data is synthetic material for educational purposes. It distinguishes actual AI drafts from separately reviewed proposals and does not replace expert approval, confirmation of sales causes, or final purchasing decisions.

A data craftsman with over 20 years of experience in databases and IT. As a DBA and manager of a DB Platform team, I work with database platforms and specialize in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, SQL tuning, AWS, Terraform, and Python. Drawing on experience in the gaming, finance, and IT services industries, I explain database and cloud architecture. I have published 『Oracle Practical Tuning: Learning SQL Patterns』 and 『Oracle Pro*C Practical Project Guide』, and have presented on serverless architectures, database selection, and multi-database strategies at AWS Summit 2018 and 2019 and DataYa Nolja 2020. Recently, I have been working on slow-query analysis and tuning recommendations using Bedrock LLM, automated DB specification sizing, and query workflows through a DB metadata MCP server and Slack bot. I explain database automation for developers and AI applications for non-developers through hands-on exercises tailored to the audience and objectives of each course. Rather than applying AI suggestions as-is, I teach a decision-making framework that verifies result equivalence, execution plans, and observability conditions, and defers action when the supporting evidence is insufficient. Company operational data and credentials are not included in the course materials.
