What you will gain after the course

  • Our company's product definitions and types

  • The Role of a Product Manager According to the Life Cycle

  • Establishing strategies and tactics based on mission and vision

  • Data-driven work

  • Retention measurement and reuse cycle

  • Decision-making framework

For POs and PMs, it's not the How or What, but the Why that matters. 🤔

Is it because there's too much work that results aren't showing?
Or is it because you are working without a standard for decision-making?

Many POs and PMs build features, monitor metrics, and attend endless meetings. However, they struggle to answer the questions that truly matter.

  • Why is this feature needed right now?

  • What change are we trying to drive by looking at this metric?

  • Is the choice we are making right now consistent with the direction of the product?

This course is not about adding new tools or methodologies.
It is a course designed to rebuild the cognitive framework of decision-making—how to think and what criteria to use as a PO/PM.

Moving beyond the role of simply executing feature requests, this course covers the PO/PM mindset for defining problems, establishing rationales for choices, and
persuading the organization.

Product missions and visions, product types and lifecycles,
and even the perspective of using data for ‘decision-making’ rather than just ‘reporting.’

Through this course,
align your standard of thinking to become a “PO/PM who sets the direction,”
rather than just a “PM who works a lot.”

What you can actually learn through this course

The true learning outcomes of this course are the following four:

  1. A perspective that views products as 'decision-making units' rather than just 'features'

  2. The ability to distinguish between what needs to be done now and what can wait, based on the lifecycle

  3. A thought structure that interprets data and connects it to the next action

  4. A logical frame to persuade representatives and the organization

In particular,

  • For beginner and intermediate PM/POs, alignment of thinking standards

  • For lead-level professionals, the value of organizing organizational communication language is significant.

I am preparing for a career as a PM

It's difficult to determine how to set the product's direction and which features are suitable for our product.

I'm curious about agile ways of working

I'm curious about how people who manage products at companies that have grown into unicorns work.

Setting Core Product Metrics

There are various metrics measured in a company. But what should be chosen as the single most important one?

Here is what you will learn.

Identifying the essence of the product based on the "Why"

Have you ever deeply contemplated why you are doing this work? We will go through the process of focusing on the essence—why we are doing this and why we are building this product.

How to build a real MVP

I've read many stories and articles about MVP development methodologies, but I don't know how to actually build one or how to communicate throughout the process.

Setting Product Goals and Establishing Mission and Vision

Are you thinking, "Mission and vision just to build a product?" Strategies and tactics are derived from the mission and vision, which then establish the product's execution plan.

Execution using 6-pagers and 1-pagers

You can learn the methods and know-how for utilizing 6pager and 1pager, which are frameworks for executing established strategies and tactics

Retention and Data-Driven approaches tailored to product types

You can explore the process of establishing product strategies based on user behavior for better decision-making, as well as data analysis methods.

Screen design and planning implemented in startups

Planning for PMs is not simply about how to create PPT documents. It is about how to communicate with designers and developers.

After taking the course

  • You can establish missions and visions based on the "Why" and contribute to product decision-making.

  • You can clearly understand the types of products and the responsibilities of a product manager according to the product lifecycle.

  • You can clear up misunderstandings and prejudices regarding being data-driven and discuss data-based decision-making as a product manager.

  • You can discuss what product decisions are needed by calculating user re-use cycles and measuring retention.

Notes before taking the course

Practice Environment

  • You can focus better if you listen with earphones.

  • This course consists of theory-oriented lectures rather than hands-on practice. (Hands-on practice is conducted in the offline classes.)

Prerequisite Knowledge and Precautions

  • A simple experience with and interest in the product is sufficient.

  • It's even better if you have experience using data tracking tools like Amplitude.

  • This lecture is based on practical experience in certain startups. It may be applied differently depending on the environment you are experiencing.

  • This course consists of content related to project management, service planning, UX planning, product management, and an understanding of the basic work environment that a product manager needs to know.

It was good content. It was great because I was able to organize vague concepts neatly. I also took offline classes, and it was good because I was able to understand the entire product development process, starting with concepts about products that I had not known about before.
