▶ Have you ever felt an inexplicable charm when you saw yourself typing unknown English letters on a black screen?
▶ Have you ever thought it was strange to see unknown English letters constantly flashing across the screen, even though you typed them indifferently as if they were nothing special?
▶ But, haven't there been times when you felt like you wanted to try it, but didn't know where to start or how to do it?
If so, you may be able to get help here.
Here, we'll practice 33 privilege escalation attacks on a Linux system. In addition to leveraging the features and functions of various Linux commands favored by hackers, we'll also cover encoding, decoding, and encryption. We'll even write a small program using Python, the most popular language in the hacker world.
As you follow along, you'll overcome the psychological barriers you once considered uncharted territory . And now, others will see you and admire you. Once you actually try it, it'll feel like nothing special, and you'll be able to input commands without a second thought.
However, as you go through the process, you may not know everything. In that case, please feel free to ask questions. I'll learn and help you with anything you don't know. When asking questions, please use the Naver Cafe listed in the notes below.
[Q1] Can I really start without knowing anything?
[Ans] You can learn just three basic Linux commands (ls, cd, cat, etc.) online. However, a more intuitive method is to just try it out. If you don't understand something during the lecture, you can quickly search for it and most of the answers will be resolved. For example, if you don't know the "cd" command, try searching "Linux cd" on Google. If you still don't understand, please feel free to ask questions. I'll be happy to help.
[Q2] What abilities will you gain when you complete the mission?
[Ans] As you challenge yourself at higher levels, you'll develop foundational concepts and skills that will serve as foundations for practical application. You'll also begin to develop a hacker-centric perspective on systems. This can be considered a warm-up for subsequent courses.
Pros: It slowly teaches you how to use basic Linux commands. It's not boring because you do it while completing quests on the Internet. Cons: It takes about 10 minutes for a story that should be finished in 10 seconds to 1 minute.
First review
It's overwhelming to do it alone, but it's easy to listen and practice, and I think I learned faster than I thought.
I personally liked that you kindly answered my questions.
I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you.
You use a very unique grammar. We? We? Why do you call the students in a low-level manner? Also, you say, “My words! Your words!” in a high-level manner. It was okay, except that it was annoying. However, there are many articles on internet blogs that explain things more easily.
