Google now recommends using Kotlin, rather than Java, for developing Android applications. Kotlin has been declared an official language for Android, and all examples on the developer support site are provided in Kotlin. Now, Kotlin, rather than Java, is the language of choice for Android application development.
This course covers most aspects of Android application development, from the basics to advanced, and uses the Kotlin language for all its code. Kotlin is poised to become a major trend in mobile development, and Google anticipates that its post-development support for Android will be centered around Kotlin. While most existing Android courses are Java-based, this course is written in Kotlin, ensuring immediate application to future Android development.
This course covers topics that were not covered in the Android Basics and Advanced courses, or that can be explored in more depth.
