Currently, Android applications can be developed in Java or Kotlin. This course covers most aspects of Android application development, from the basics to advanced, and you'll write code entirely in Java, starting from the basics.
This Part 1 lecture focuses on screens and interfaces throughout the Android course, and the next course will cover more in-depth topics.
This lecture will briefly introduce the course and show you how to set up a development environment.
Android uses a variety of layouts. A layout is what determines the appearance of UI elements.
Let's take a look at different types of widgets. Widgets are UI elements that have functionality, such as buttons and input elements.
Let's take a look at the different adapter views. An adapter view is a UI element that allows you to scroll through multiple items using multiple data sources.
