Introduction to Mixed-Signal Field + Roadmap
Attention semiconductor circuit design job seekers! 📣
1️⃣
I can explain to the interviewer specifically what products I would like to cover.
2️⃣
I know specifically how the circuit design projects I have worked on are utilized in the field .
3️⃣
I know what criteria I should use to build my circuit design experience going forward.
▲ If you cannot answer one or more of the questions above, there is a high probability that you will be ‘eliminated’ from a semiconductor circuit design job.
Job seekers and job changers who dream of CHIP circuit design at Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Fabless!
If you take just one insight from this lecture, you will be able to achieve it.
When looking at people who are challenging the circuit design job, there are many applicants who have sufficient project experience, but are not able to answer confidently and related to the field. The reason is obvious. It is because they have not experienced the field.
So how can I be sure if I haven't even tried it?
To be confident, you absolutely need this 'one thing' .
There are organizations like IDEC, SW-SoC, and IEEE where you can gain experience and knowledge, but they cannot solve the above problems. I will fill in the confidence you lack.
We are with 'Inwoo', a virtual circuit design job seeker 👋
'How can I connect my circuit design project experience to employment?' 'What are the experiences of current employees that are relatable to job seekers?' Based on my experience in consulting and giving job-related lectures in the circuit design field and writing books, I have included content that job seekers can relate to and think about from the perspective of job seekers. I will help you start semiconductor circuit design from the product level by following Inwoo's vivid story! 😆
The theory can be sufficiently learned by taking courses at IDEC or SW-SoC. Recently, there are various job boot camps, so you can solve the problem to some extent. However, there is no lecture in Korea that explains the thoughts of current employees about products from the perspective of job seekers .
No more boring theories and practices, learn the thoughts of those in the field through story-telling lectures that start with products! With Inwoo, you can understand the flow of Opamp, Full-adder, Transistor, and the 8 major semiconductor processes that you have studied while disassembling smartphones and Nintendo Switches one by one.
Among the various products introduced in the lecture, decide which product you would like to cover .
If you choose to study one of the various memory/system semiconductor products, you can gain a strong competitive edge in circuit design jobs. This is because most people do not choose one and study it in depth.
If you have decided on a product and studied it, find out what circuits are included in that product. Furthermore, find a project that deals with that circuit and experience it . You need to have a basis for experience with the product to convince the evaluators.
If you don’t know what circuits are involved or have trouble finding the project, follow the roadmap below. Samcoach’s lectures, “Super Product-Oriented/Super Practical-Oriented/Super Employment-Oriented,” are waiting for you!
While working in the semiconductor circuit design field at Company S, I have served as a mentor for circuit design positions and have conducted over 200 job consulting sessions, operated over 50 boot camps, and given over 10 university job lectures.
While working as a mentor, I have helped hundreds of people pass, but on the other hand, I have also seen dozens of people fail.
So I thought about it.
'Even though the same content is explained and given the same experience, why do some people pass and others fail?'
In order to analyze the reasons for being eliminated, I started to collect and compare the resumes, self-introductions, and interview reviews of the failed applicants. And I came to one conclusion.
'Ah! Even though you have experience in circuit design, you are not confident enough to convince the evaluator!'
Although we were trying to fill in the gaps in circuit design experience that job seekers lacked, we were unable to explain how to appeal to that experience and convince the evaluators.
And when I thought about the solution to this, I realized that persuading the incumbents was very simple: to appeal to the ‘product’.
'If you study the product and develop circuit design experience accordingly, you will not be able to fail.
Because today, the incumbents will be worrying about products rather than circuits!'
To verify this hypothesis, we provided product study guidance to 10 job seekers who failed in 2022 but are challenging Samsung Electronics' circuit design position again in the first half of 2023.
After about 2 months of product-targeting circuit experience, I was able to pass the power document screening. Nine of them were able to pass the interview.
Now, I thought it would be good if everyone preparing for a circuit design job, not just a few people, could gain this insight that I discovered .
So! I decided to organize this into a lecture and make it available for free.
Just by reading this article, you are qualified to take on the challenge of a circuit design job. My role is to help those who are passionate about circuits to pass the challenge.
Although this is a free lecture, it will provide special insight to those who are challenging circuit design.
Of course, if you have a connection, you can work with me on a circuit design project according to the roadmap, but first, I hope you can try things on your own through the free lecture. You can pass the exam just by doing this. Then, I will see you in the lecture. Thank you 😊
