AWS Network, Where to Start?

There are many AWS network services, so the concept feels complicated. I lack basic network knowledge, so I don't know where to start.

I have a general idea about VPC, but how should I use it in practice?

I conceptually understand VPC, subnets, and routing tables, but I'm at a loss as to how to design them in practice.

Network Security, Are We Doing It Right?

I understand the difference between security groups and NACLs, but I have trouble figuring out how to combine and apply them in practice.

🎯 After taking the AWS Network Course

You can clearly understand the concept and structure of the AWS network.

👉 Previous : I need to set up a network in AWS, but I'm confused because VPC, subnet, routing table, etc. are all mixed up.
👉 Afterwards : You will clearly understand VPC, subnet, routing table, gateway, etc., and be able to design the optimal network architecture required in a practical environment.

You can design AWS network architecture in practice.

👉 Previously : It was unclear how to divide public and private subnets.
👉 Afterwards : Optimal network architecture design considering security, cost, and performance is possible!

  • Network configuration possible by appropriately utilizing Internet gateway, NAT gateway, and private link

  • Designing a Secure Enterprise Network Architecture

You can handle AWS network security at a practical level.

👉 Previous : I understand the difference between security groups and NACLs, but I don't know how to combine them in practice.
👉 Afterwards : Security policy can be set by appropriately utilizing security group + NACL

  • Implement strong network security by leveraging private links and VPC endpoints

  • Optimized for security and performance by designing so that data never traverses public networks

🧐 Do you have any questions?

Q. Why should I learn AWS Network?

The AWS network is a core element of the cloud architecture .

📌 Network concepts are essential to properly utilize AWS!

📌 Poor network design leads to security issues, poor performance, and increased costs!

📌 It can be used in various ways in practice, such as VPC design, security enhancement, and hybrid cloud construction!

Being good at handling AWS networks can give you a competitive edge as a cloud engineer, DevOps, and backend developer.

Q. What level of content is covered in the class?

This course is structured so that you can learn step by step from the basics to the practical level.

📌 Basic concepts : Learn the basic concepts of AWS networks step by step (VPC, subnet, routing table, etc.)

📌 Hands-on training : Practice configuring VPCs, setting up network security, etc. in an AWS environment.

📌 Advanced Practices : Network Design, Network Cost Optimization

📌 Best Practices : Apply AWS recommended network design and operation methods

We teach you from the basics to practical skills in a solid manner, so that you can apply it in an actual corporate environment.

Things to note before taking the class

Practice environment

  • An AWS account is required and some fees may apply for the hands-on training!

  • This course provides hands-on training on AWS and provides experience configuring networks in an environment identical to the actual work.

Most of the exercises can be done with the AWS Free Tier (free account), but some services may incur a fee.

Learning Materials

  • The lectures are conducted in Korean, and the lecture materials are produced in English to enhance global competency and are provided in PDF format.

Player Knowledge and Notes

  • This course covers everything from the concepts of AWS networks to their practical applications , but you will learn more easily if you have the following basic knowledge.

    • Network Basics

    • AWS Basic Knowledge - Creating an AWS account and using basic services (EC2, IAM, S3, etc.)

    • Experience using basic Linux commands (useful for CLI practice)

  • Don't worry if you lack basic knowledge, the lecture will explain step by step! 😊

I haven't listened much yet, but seeing that the instructor is a Staff Engineer and also currently working in the field, I thought this lecture would be good for getting started, so I chose it. First of all, for those who want to take the lecture, I think it would definitely be better to build up basic network knowledge beforehand. As for me, I want to start my career as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps, and I think this is very good for beginners. After finishing this, I intend to purchase everything up to Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc., following the roadmap. Also, thank you for the fast feedback.
