I'm just starting, but the animation is included and the images are clean, making it easy to understand. The content is also well-organized, so I don't have to put in much effort to organize it separately. Thank you for the good lecture! :D

First, I finished listening to all of Section 1 and am leaving a review - if you're starting out with networking, you definitely won't regret taking this course.

What you will gain after the course

  • Packet Analysis

  • Protocol

  • TCP/IP

  • Packet structure and fields of each header

2025 Latest Version!
Understanding Networks Through Illustrations and Animations!

Network made easy and intuitive,
Follow along with illustrations and motion graphics!

We learn about the roles and flow between TCP/IP and OSI layers

Learn intuitively and easily through illustrations and motion

Let's examine some packet headers of important protocols using Wireshark.

Packets and protocols, learn more about the fields in each header.

Through this, you can extend your learning of packet analysis!

You can download a PDF summary of all lectures!

(approximately 180+ pages) --- Note: I've translated this short phrase as requested. The parentheses an

What will you learn?

Learn about the roles between layers

Learn how each layer interacts with others and how they are referenced in the network.

Learn about the role of protocols

Learn about the roles of protocols at each layer. We'll explore the operating principles of essential protocols including Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, QUIC, HTTP, DHCP, and many others!

Learn about the structure of packets at each layer

We'll take a closer look at the structure of Ethernet headers, IP headers, and TCP headers. We'll examine the structure of each header in the packet in more detail and learn what role all the fields in the headers play.

Let's analyze the structure and fields of headers through hands-on practice

You can intuitively understand at a glance through tables and diagrams how the Ethernet header, IP header, and TCP/UDP header that we learned earlier are displayed in Wireshark.

Protocol PrinciplesLet's learn about them.

What is the difference between the supplementary textbook and the lecture?

  1. Books focus on text-centered, refined writing, while lectures are animation-focused.
You can purchase the book as a way to own the lecture content.

  2. The course omits TCP congestion control/flow control and routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, etc.(meaning this content is included in the book)
The book omits packet structure and Wireshark practice content. (meaning this content is included in the course)

  3. If you're concerned about the cost aspect, I tend to recommend books for undergraduate students.

Practice Environment

  • Please install Wireshark in advance!

  • Since the screen is split in half during practice sessions, if you take the course on a laptop, you may experience discomfort, so we recommend using dual monitors for the practice sections.

Prerequisites and Important Notes

  • No prior knowledge is required.

  • We recommend turning on subtitles for learning.Unlike previous lectures, Inflearn has its own subtitle feature, so I didn't add subtitles directly myself. Although I re-recorded several times, to prevent the pronunciation from sounding muffled, I recommend using Korean subtitles.

I started with absolutely no knowledge about networking, and I had to do a lot of additional research for each lecture. Since the content was very theoretical (though it inevitably has to be theoretical...), it felt like just reading definitions straight from a textbook, which made it difficult for someone like me who hoped to understand things easily and smoothly. No matter how many animations or diagrams were provided, understanding the content wasn't easy. Of course, I did complete the entire course, but I think it would be an even better lecture if improvements were considered such as using a richer, more engaging voice tone, organizing the lecture content so it's not all over the place, and providing easier examples. However, the good point was that it wasn't bad at all for a beginner. Should I say it was mild? It's certain that it was approachable without being too difficult. Also, since the content is quite abstract, I invested a lot of time studying additionally to understand even one more sentence following the flow by referencing the lectures, and in the end, it definitely sticks in my head lol. As expected, studying only sticks when you do it yourself..
