[2026 Examination Standards] Web Design Development Technical Qualification Practical Exam Complete Guide
This is a specialized practical exam course optimized for the Web Design Development Craftsman (formerly Web Design Craftsman) practical exam content, precisely aligned with the examination standards implemented from 2025.1.1 to 2027.12.31. The Codingworks Web Design Development Craftsman practical exam course, covering HTML+CSS+JQUERY publishing, is different.
All instructional videos for perfectly creating all 2026 Web Design Development Craftsman exam types (A, B, C, D, E, F types) are included.
Thank you for explaining it in detail and it was very helpful! However, I think there might be some parts that are difficult to follow for a complete beginner who doesn't know anything about HTML. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the concepts and then watch it.

I'm learning a lot!
First of all, the first thing I'm going to talk about is the topic of "It's hard to study on your own"!
Of course, you can try to study anything, but as you know, if it's difficult, you'll quickly give up (or put it off).
I bought this X-book and prepared for the exam, but... I only read the book for the written part, and for the practical part, the video was just explaining it by copying and pasting text from somewhere... It was really frustrating.
However, since KakaoTalk has become so well-developed these days, I went around open chat rooms here and there, but honestly, there wasn't a place that explained it well... Even for me, if it had been a long time since I passed, I think they would answer more questions from people in the field!
So one of them recommended this "Coding Works Teacher"!
Thanks to that, I didn't even look at the introduction and paid right away because they said they would teach me the basics. (This is a true story)
And then I started watching slowly from the first lecture, but the facts wouldn't be easy to understand...
However, I only had one thought that I had to follow it, so I watched the lectures from theory [in order], and before I knew it,
I had already made them on my own without following the videos.
That's when I realized. Oh, this is just the beginning...
Type A is the easiest, and there are many points that can be understood from various perspectives!
In other words, people who quickly grasp the processor that needs to be applied even when making other things learn easily,
but even though I didn't know a lot, I just kept thinking about why it had to be like that and why it had to be like this to get the results.
On the third day, I succeeded in making the layouts for A, B, and C, and on the seventh day, I finished the complete versions of A, B, and C on my own, without any guides, just with the experience of having listened to one lecture.
After that, D and E types are steps that anyone who can make it without looking at C types can do, so I think those who are impatient right now might think that they can't get past D and E because C isn't done properly!
In the end, I passed, and although it wasn't a high score (I'll leave out all the details), I was able to leave the exam room in 1 hour and 20 minutes with just one lecture from Coding Works. (I only asked questions when I couldn't do anything.)
That's all for my experience!
I'll summarize
1. Why you should pay for Coding Works lectures: No matter how hard you look, there's no one around you who can teach you 1:1.
2. Self-study is hard and you won't understand no matter how many famous books you buy, so you'll definitely give up in the middle. 3. When you see this comment while looking for good lectures here and there, just click the payment button without a second of hesitation.
4. There are many ways to deal with various variables, and if you are desperate, I think you have an 80% chance of passing if you study hard for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. No? I think it's 90%.
5. If you don't understand and feel like something is not going well, practice until you can type only the parts from the previous exams automatically.
6. Not only do new questions not appear often in the exam room, but the D and E types that are taught in the lecture are also high-quality processors.
7. The computer is smarter than you. When it doesn't work, blame yourself and practice steadily.
8. Don't doubt that you will pass. From the moment you click purchase, you will be able to enjoy the maximum in all choices.

As a designer, I had absolutely no coding background, and I looked up all the YouTube lectures, but I gave up on the qualification because I didn't understand anything. The deadline for exemption from written exams was the first quarter of this year, so I postponed and postponed it until I decided to give it a try, but I think it was 1-2 months after I submitted my application that I really started studying.
I really felt why the teacher's lectures have so many reviews while studying. He explained the concepts so easily that even I, an idiot, was able to understand the concepts and solve the problems. After listening to the layout + problem 1 class and solving it, I got the feeling that I could change 2-4 like this, and I didn't need to memorize the difficult sentences.
I got a job while studying, so I couldn't study hard in the latter half, so I only practiced the new types with selection and concentration. With the belief that D and E would definitely come out... Fortunately, I got the D type, and I was able to leave the test room in about 2 hours? The result was 91 points! I felt good because I got a much higher score than I expected. ㅎㅎ
As a side note, I studied thinking that the coding that the teacher taught was the correct answer, but when I looked at other lectures, I saw that there were really, really many different ways to achieve the same result. After learning that, I realized that this lecture was a very well-made lecture from a beginner's perspective.
Starting from this opportunity, I will continue to study without giving up coding :-) Thank you for helping me achieve good results~

Changes in the 2026 Web Design Development Technician Practical Exam Public Questions
I downloaded the 2026 public exam questions newly posted on the official Web Design Development Industrial Engineer website and compared them with the 2024 public questions. There are no changes in the exam content itself, and there are 2 changes.
First, the practical exam time was adjusted from the existing 4 hours to 3 hours, increasing the exam difficulty. Second, the qualification name changed from the existing 'Web Design Technician' to 'Web Design Development Technician'.
There are no additions to the 2026 exam. If there are any changes or additions for 2026, they will be updated as quickly as possible at no additional cost. (As of January 6, 2026)

F-type layout creation and final version production videos have been updated (2024.1.16)
The production videos for the 4 new F-type variations (F1, 2, 3, 4) added from 2024 have been updated. There isn't a new production module for the F-type or anything like that. You can simply think of it as one additional layout being added. I don't think the 4 added F-type variations will be a significant burden when preparing for the practical exam.
However, you can think of it as just one additional layout being added. I don't think the 4 added F-type questions will be a significant burden when preparing for the practical exam.
😧4 F-type layouts added starting from the 1st practical exam in 2024
Until 2023, there were Type A, Type B, Type C, Type D, and Type E, with 4 of each for a total of 20, but starting from the first exam in 2024, 4 Type F questions have been added. So you need to study a total of 24 types. The organizers significantly increased the exam difficulty in 2023, and have raised the difficulty level even more starting from 2024.
✅ The F-type lesson video added in 2024 is currently in preparation.
Since the 2024 1st practical exam is 2024.03.16~2024.03.29, you can study the current content excluding F type. If you are sufficiently proficient with A, B, C, D, E typesF type only has a slightly different overall layout, but there are no major differences. However, it seems tricky that in the overall layout design, it's center-aligned at 1340 pixels, but only the slide section needs to be at 100% browser width.
※ F type also has the same slide method, tab menu, navigation, and modal as A, B, C, D, E types.

🚩Introduction to 4 newly added F-type public questions for 2026
I took the F3 Open Banking (Question 23) type exam today!
I notice the `` tags are empty - there is no Korean text between them to translate.
The surrounding context shows:
- Before: Content about module creation, F4 layout, and exam reviews
- After: Text about study questions and F-type exam information
However, since there is no text between the `` tags, there is nothing to translate. Please provide the Korean text you'd like translated.
It's not a study question, but since you don't have anyone around you who has taken the F-type exam
I remember that the information wasn't accurate, so even though it might seem like I'm being nosy, I wanted to help other test takers and
I'm rushing to write this post right after the exam to help you out a bit, teacher!
I had a strange feeling about Type F all week, and I guess I had a hunch that it would be on today's exam ㅠㅠ
I rushed over after my exam to write this post! All week, I had a strange feeling about Type F, and I guess I had a premonition that I'd be taking that exam today ㅠㅠ
I rushed over after my exam to write this post! All week long, F-type has been bothering me, and I guess I had a premonition that it would be on today's exam ㅠㅠ
1. As taught in the lecture
I studied by grouping slide-image and slide-banner inside .slide,
In the exam, what we called slide-banner was referred to as in the instructions, and the shortcut section inside content-inner was called a banner in the exam. It was just a difference in the naming of code blocks, but for those preparing for F-type, I thought it might be less confusing if we studied by changing the code names! I also got confused while reading the 'shortcut' instructions in the middle and writing it as slide-banner as usual, so I just unified the code names with the names requested in the instructions!
I was reading the 'shortcut' instructions in the middle and got confused while writing it as slide-banner like usual, so I just unified the code name with the name requested in the instructions!
2. I have something to tell you about the pink box part that I colored~ I don't know if you'll remember..ㅠㅠ On 24.03.27, I posted a question about the F-type slide-banner link section because I thought there might be instructions to input text I posted a question about it..! Unfortunately ㅠㅠ just as I expected, there was a part in the exam instructions telling me to put text in each anchor. There was text in the provided text notepad that I was supposed to insert ㅠㅠ And the total number of images that went in was 5, the same as the layout. However, there were no specific instructions on where to put the text in the image, so I
I entered the text using span and applied display:block processing just like I did when putting span in the gallery images, creating it in a way that arranges them vertically. I should have inserted the provided images, not create images using Illustrator or Photoshop..!
After arranging them, it looked like random photos were stuck on top of the slide images, so I added a background color and adjusted the transparency to make them look like icons that are separate from the slide images.
I made it look like an icon that is separate from the slide image by adding a background color and adjusting the transparency.
3. And about the notice section! The part where you wrote "???ㅠㅠ" in sky blue on the right side was really blank!! However, what surprised me about the notice section was that the tab-inner width might not be wide, so I studied and prepared using em / b tags for layout and text ellipsis in the notice section, but there was no date input! So I simply inserted an anchor, made it block-level, and centered it for styling.
I studied layout and text truncation using em / b tags, but there was no date input! So I simply added an anchor, made it a block, and styled it with center alignment.
I studied layout and text truncation using em/b tags, but there was no date input! So I simply added an anchor, made it block-level, and styled it with center alignment.
The two mistakes I made were not giving a border-bottom to the footer menu and setting the menu sub-back width to the header size (I made it like the A-type sub-back ㅠ) Everything else worked well and I solved it feeling like "ah, this should be good enough"!! ㅠㅠ If I fail because of those two issues, I'll be so embarrassed and ashamed..ㅠㅠㅠㅠ But still, I'm so proud that I can understand and create many structures on my own.
And since F-type is a format I've never seen before..
At the test center I went to today, 12 people took the exam but 6 gave up and left midway.. It took me about 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish all checks and submit, and by that time, only 3 people including me had submitted, and 3 people were still remaining when I left the classroom.
The results will be announced on April 9th, and I really hope I passed ㅠㅠ Teacher, although it wasn't an in-person class but an online class, I learned so much ㅠㅠ Thank you ㅠㅠ!

The jQuery-based slide creation video has been updated. Starting in 2023, with the addition of D-type and E-type, the difficulty of the practical exam has increased, making it necessary to create slides in an easier and more convenient way. Therefore, I've created a new video to replace the existing jQuery method video.
If you create it with the existing CSS slider, there may be some deduction factors. Although there is a CSS slider lecture, I recommend creating the slider using jQuery. (Actually, you can learn whichever method is more comfortable between the two and take the exam without any problem passing.)
In the case of CSS slides, it's a bit awkward when it goes back to slide 1 after slides 1, 2, 3 and then continues to 1, 2, 3, but with jQuery slides, after slides 1, 2, 3, it naturally shows slides 1, 2, 3 again. In other words, it's possible to create a more perfect slider than CSS slides.
If you look at the jQuery code, it's short, so I think it will be very easy and simple to understand. ※ The jQuery code is 6 lines, but only 3 lines actually operate.
▼ You can view and download the jQuery-style slide creation video and files below
The query code is 6 lines, but the actual working code is 3 lines. ▼ You can view the jQuery-style slide creation video and download the files below
😊 D-type and E-type production lecture update completed (2023.1.12)
The production tutorial for the newly added D and E types to the Web Design Technician practical exam starting from 2023 has been updated. The added videos are nearly 7 hours long. Since the difficulty level of D and E types has increased and there is more content to learn, please prepare and study in advance.
The D-type and E-type production lecture updates newly added in 2023 have been completed. The D-type and E-type production lectures are in Section 09. As mentioned in the production videos, you must complete all A, B, and C types before studying the D-type and E-type production lectures.

The 2026 Web Design Development Technician practical exam questions are the same as the 2025 questions.
The only change since 2022 is in Technical Compliance Item 10 on page 5 of the public questions, where the requirement that it must work well in Internet Explorer has been changed to it must display well in MS Edge. The fact that results are checked in MS Edge rather than Internet Explorer means you can use almost all CSS properties including FLEX. This means test-takers can consider that the burden of cross-browsing when creating results has almost disappeared. (However, since this is an exam, we recommend studying and taking the test using the methods covered in the course content for a safe pass.)
You can consider it gone. (Since this is an exam, for a safe pass, I recommend studying and taking the test using the methods covered in the lecture content.)

🚩 2026 Web Design Development Technician Practical Exam Standards
The current Web Design Development Technician exam criteria are valid from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. This course has been created as a practical exam lecture perfectly aligned with the current exam criteria.
🚩 2026 Web Design Development Technician Practical Exam Text Editor
Starting from the 3rd round of practical exams in 2021, only the Visual Studio Code text editor can be used. According to the Q-Net official website guidelines, Brackets and Dreamweaver, which were previously installed as text editors, cannot be used from 2022 onwards. So in conclusion, you should prepare for the exam using either Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code. Of course, since there's no need to use EditPlus and Brackets, you should study for the practical exam using Visual Studio Code.
Web Design Skills Certification Practical Exam Software Guide from Q-Net Official Website
As stated in the notice above, "Plugins (separate applications, additional features) cannot be installed." This means that since Visual Studio Code extensions are not installed, Visual Studio Code you must take the practical exam using only the basic features of the program. Therefore, please install Visual Studio Code and study without installing any additional extensions. You need to prepare for the exam in the same environment as the actual test site. In the image below, out of the 4 Visual Studio Code lectures, only study the 2 marked with red boxes. Of course, if you're learning Visual Studio Code for practical work, you should study all 4.
[Must Read] How to Use a Text Editor Before Starting Your Studies
From the Visual Studio Code tutorials in this course, you only need to learn the 2 videos marked with red boxes for the Web Design Technician practical exam. (Extensions are not installed in the practical exam room.)
Enabling Auto-Save Feature in Visual Studio Code
Auto-save is a built-in feature of Visual Studio Code, not an extension, so for detailed instructions on how to enable auto-save, please check the Coding Works Inflearn blog. https://inf.run/RPaoi
[Update] Flex Layout Complete Production Lecture Video
1) Starting from 2022, the Web Design Technician practical exam's technical compliance requirements check cross-browsing with Edge and Chrome. The previous IE(Internet Explorer) has been officially excluded. 👍
2) Learn Flex layout after sufficiently mastering the traditional method of horizontal arrangement using float (Flex layout is not mandatory) You should avoid learning Flex layout without knowing Float and Position layout.
3) If you use it, I recommend using Flex layout only for the overall layout (avoid using Flex for detailed positioning)
※ We recommend using Flex for creating the overall layout after thoroughly learning the traditional Float-based positioning method, and applying it in your final production.
I notice that the `` tags are empty - there is no Korean text between them to translate.
Based on the surrounding context provided, if you need those sections translated:
**Before:** "※ For creating entire layouts with Flex, we recommend using it in your final production only after thoroughly learning the existing Float-based positioning method."
**After:** "⚡ For effective learning, please be sure to refer to CodingWorks Publishing YouTube! Please study in parallel with the theory video lectures on the CodingWorks Publishing YouTube channel."
However, since there's no content in the `` tags, there is nothing to translate.
⚡ For effective learning, please be sure to refer to the Codingworks Publishing YouTube channel.
Please study in parallel with the theory video lectures on the Codingworks Publishing YouTube channel. Of course, not all theory videos are on the YouTube channel, but most of the important theory videos are there. Since there are many videos, it's best to search for videos as shown in the example below.

This is a review of the August practical exam! Date written: 20September 13, 23
Hello! It's been a while since I've written a question post! To get straight to the point, I received a call today saying I passed with 89 points and have finished applying for the booklet-type certificate :) Actually, I was juggling other work and couldn't study properly, so I ended up cramming for a month at the last minute.. I'm writing this lengthy post hoping that my method might be of some help to those currently preparing for the Web Design Skills Certificate. You might find it strange when I say "one month of cramming," so let me explain first - I majored in video, advertising, and design fields, and last summer I studied web design and got my written exam certificate, but I ended up getting a job (in the design field) before preparing for the practical exam, so I got it late ^-^;; The one-month cramming was possible because I had studied it before ㅜㅜ
To tell you about how I studied, I didn't follow along while watching the lectures, but rather I tried making things myself first with the information I had, then watched the lectures to see and learn how the instructor did it.
To give a specific example,
If I learned layout type A, I would try creating type B on my own, and if I learned wireframe theory, I would create it myself first using just that theory. Although it took a long time when studying, I memorized things faster, and after creating something myself even once like this, I was able to make it on my own by the 2nd or 3rd time.
Also, as the teacher mentioned throughout the video, even though the teacher would copy and paste things made previously, I think it made a big difference that I typed everything out myself each time to create the framework.
It might seem like an obvious study method, but it takes a lot of time, and since I try to create things myself first, there are things that don't work at first. That's when I think "Why?" and while listening to the teacher's lectures, understanding why it didn't work becomes a big part of my learning. I ended up writing at length hoping it might be of some help. Thank you :)
2021 Web Design Skills Certification 4th Practical Exam Review
Thanks to you, I did well on the exam! Author: f1rstf1y9 / 2021.12.05 10:28 PM
I'll write a review after passing, but first I'm posting a thank you message in the community!
I'm actually a college student majoring in this field, so I've taken HTML and CSS courses twice just through my major classes. In those classes, the lecture content barely registered in my ears, and I would just memorize everything for exams and forget it all once they were over. So when preparing for the Web Design Skills Certification practical exam, I was in such a state of lacking basic knowledge that I didn't even know what or how to prepare. But after taking CodingWorks' lectures, I feel like I've finally received proper instruction. Today's exam is over, but I think what I learned through these lectures will stay with me for a long time.
I registered for the exam and was self-studying with YouTube lectures, but just like when I was taking major courses, nothing was sticking in my head and I was struggling when I found this course. Since I had been watching free lectures, I did worry about whether it was right to invest money in this course when there was only about a month left until the exam. I guess there was no need to worry at all haha
I'd like to leave my personal exam review in case others might find it helpful. I had been using Visual Studio well before taking the course, so I continued studying with Visual Studio Code and skipped the Brackets-related lectures. I even deliberately registered for a test center that had VSCode. However, when I arrived at the test center today, they only had Brackets... I was flustered at first, but the shortcuts were exactly as taught in the course, and more importantly, since the course content used Brackets, the interface was actually familiar, so I adapted without difficulty and was able to complete the exam safely! The exam was the JUST shopping mall, which was a type covered in the final project lecture, so I wrote most of the code smoothly, checked it multiple times, and submitted it first! If it weren't for this course, I might have had to leave in the middle like some others did....ㅠㅠ I'm really glad I took CodingWorks' course ㅎㅎ
Thank you for the great lecture, and I'll write a review once I get my passing results :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I passed!

🙋🏻♂️ Important Information Regarding PDF Materials
Q. The jQuery part in the PDF textbook doesn't have much content?
A) Due to the nature of jQuery, the content is so extensive that it's difficult to include everything in the PDF textbook, so it contains basic usage and essential functions, events, and method usage. And since CSS and FLEX are most important for beginner publishers, 170 pages, which corresponds to 90% of the PDF textbook, are allocated to them.
Q. What makes the CodingWorks Publishing Core Theory PDF textbook different from commercial textbooks?
A. We've removed content you don't need to know right away and less important material, including only the essential core content! The CodingWorks textbook is a PDF textbook created by further reinforcing materials used in offline academies for many years. In particular, it contains many CodingWorks lecture tips that are not found in commercial textbooks.
Q. What is the size of the downloadable content?
A) The total size of the downloadable content is 42MB. The PDF theory materials have been split into 5 separate files for your convenience. You can download them individually. The practice example files are well organized in folders when you extract them.
Q. I want to print it out to read - is the PDF textbook high quality?
A) The PDF files are created in high quality 300dpi, so you can print them out clearly.
Q. What are the permitted uses for downloaded content?
A) All downloaded content is produced in-house by CodingWorks. CodingWorks PDF materials must not be used for any other purpose or distributed to others beyond the personal learning use of the enrolled individual. Additionally, editing the CodingWorks identification portions of the PDF files for use as teaching materials is also not permitted.

Thank you for explaining it in detail and it was very helpful! However, I think there might be some parts that are difficult to follow for a complete beginner who doesn't know anything about HTML. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the concepts and then watch it.
This is Coding Works. First of all, thank you for your review~
I thought that if there were too many HTML theory videos, the beginning part of the learning would be too long, so I simplified the HTML theory part, but I'm glad you liked it. If you think the HTML theory part is lacking, there are many videos on my YouTube channel that explain it in detail, so please refer to those videos.
I'm glad that Coding Works' online lectures are helpful~^^
I hope you pass the web design technician practical exam with a high score.
1. The lecture content is easy.
2. The markup is clean. There is no meaningless repetition of width and height every time. It was good to be able to hear a detailed explanation rather than just being told to write it like this without asking.
3. The wireframes used as examples themselves are sophisticated.
4. It was good to be able to learn new methods, such as creating image slides using only CSS.
5. It was good to be able to ask questions.
The course review isn't that long, but I think this is the first time someone has written something so specific and easy to understand. You'll pass with a high score. Fighting!
Hello! I got my 3rd practical exam results today, and I came here to write a review because I passed with a score of 92! First of all, thank you so much to the instructor for the great lecture. You answer my questions really quickly, and the lecture content was explained step by step from the basics for non-majors to study, which was great. (I especially listened to the YouTube lectures that the instructor uploaded in parallel, and I understood them faster.) I think it is a specialized class that can be understood in a short period of time. It was a class that was worth the tuition fee at all! Thank you. I cleared the exam in 1 hour and 40 minutes and confidently came in first place. Thank you, teacher :) I will come to listen to other lectures!
Thank you for your course review, seohyeon. And I sincerely congratulate you on passing the exam with a high score. I also cleared it in 2 hours when I took the exam, but you cleared it in 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is amazing. I think it was the result of your own hard work, although the lectures helped~!!
