This course provides a fairly in-depth, hands-on approach to networking, covering introductory router/switch technologies. Most of the knowledge covered covers the most fundamental networking topics used in the workplace. While this course won't provide you with all the networking knowledge you'll need, it will help you identify areas of weakness and how to further your studies, enabling you to develop your own networking study plan.

This course is an introductory course. While it doesn't require prerequisites for "Network Fundamentals for Beginners," the course's development assumes a prior understanding of the introductory knowledge covered in "Network Fundamentals for Beginners." Even if you haven't taken that course, you should still be able to take this course without significant difficulty if you retake it sufficiently.

Q. Will taking this course prepare me for the CCNA exam?

A CCNA exam course will be offered as a follow-up to this course. This course will provide students with the fundamentals necessary to prepare for the CCNA exam independently. However, this course is significantly inadequate in terms of difficulty and scope for CCNA exam preparation.

Q. Will this course help me gain sufficient networking knowledge?

If you take this course sufficiently, yes. "Enough" here means that for most learners, it will take two to three repetitions of the entire course.

Q. What practical environment is required for this course?

This course uses Packet Tracer for practical training. Packet Tracer can be installed and used on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS, so there will be few limitations to your training environment. However, to use Packet Tracer effectively, you must join the Cisco Networking Academy, which requires a Google account for social login.
