I've taken various courses to learn, and I'm still taking them. However, I'm pressed for time, and many of them spend too much time on unnecessary details. If they taught only the essentials, I could get through them in five or six hours. But skipping lectures that were over 10 or 20 hours long was too much of a struggle. So, I created this short but substantial course to help you learn React Native in just four hours .
It contains only knowledge that can be practically used and applied in real-world situations .
Even though we've learned extensive theory, we often don't know how to apply it in real-world projects. Focusing solely on theory without understanding the specific situations in which the code will be used is meaningless. Only by coding directly through real-world projects can we truly grasp the concepts and apply them to our own lives.
To use React Native, you need to configure Android Studio or Xcode, depending on your operating system. This initial setup is necessary to build a smartphone simulator on your laptop. However, because it's not that simple, it can be difficult to get started with React Native.
However, in this course, we'll use Expo. Simply download the Expo Go app to your smartphone and scan a QR code to start developing apps. So, even if you're new to React Native, you can jump right in and start coding without any pressure .
Some students may only want to learn the React Native front-end, while others may simply want to see how to apply Firebase to React Native. Therefore, to maximize your time, we've structured the course so you can focus on only the essential parts .
Section 1 covers the frontend, while Section 2 covers the Firebase backend. Focus on what you need now and learn conveniently.
I've been working as a full-stack developer at a startup for two years.
I currently work at a startup building dashboards for e-commerce, working with developers from Ivy League and FANG (Facebook, Apple, Netflix, Google) teams, primarily focusing on the front-end.
I hope this course, based on my experience, will be helpful to those who want to learn React Native!
Q. How much initial setup is required?
First of all, if you have already set up React or React Native, you will have Visual Studio Code and Node.js installed. Those two are all you need!
Q. Can you tell me how to initially set up XCode or Android Studio?
No. Since the goal of this course is to learn React Native in the shortest possible time, I chose Expo. Even without setting up a simulator, you can simply download the Expo Go app on your smartphone and scan a QR code to build the app. Therefore, I won't cover it in this course.
Q. To what extent should I prepare the environment settings?
If you have Visual Studio Code, Node.js, and the Expo CLI installed on your laptop (PC), that's all you need! You'll also need to download the Expo Go application on your smartphone.
Afterwards, if possible, you can configure Android Studio or XCode according to your OS. (It is not required, so don't worry.)
