What you will learn!

Even non-majors can easily learn Unreal Engine!

Is Unreal Engine really that difficult?

Could it be that you were trying to binge eat from the beginning and ended up with a stomachache?

Unreal is no longer the domain of professional developers.

Non-professionals, students, and artists can all use it for their own work.

This time, we will completely conquer many parts of Unreal Engine , especially ' material '.
This is the first lecture in the series.

🗒 Curriculum

Part 1: Build a solid foundation of computer science concepts and create the basic structure of procedural master materials.

Part 2: Delving deeper into node-by-node, we'll use more complex mathematical concepts to complete procedural master materials.

Part 3: Building on the concept, we create more complex structures.
Complete the Auto Landscape material that procedurally generates terrain.

Part 4: We delve into moving material animation and complete VFX-specific materials.

What will we learn in Part 1?

  • You can learn about the concept of shaders, which are the basis of materials, and PBR.

  • You can learn the principles of material programming by solving mathematical concepts very easily.

  • You can learn the computer science principles of the background that constitute each parameter.

  • Based on the above, you can learn the basics of creating a structure for procedural master materials.

By taking this course, you will be able to create the basic structure of a procedural master material that can be applied to any mesh.

💻 August 2020,
I'll never forget the moment I first saw the screen of Unreal Engine 4.26 ...

Feeling lost, vague... 😥

I installed Unreal Engine with hope and courage, but

I couldn't understand anything in the complex interface.

🤯 I could only stare blankly at the screen for a long time...

📺 Back in the day when there was only English content on YouTube,

I had no choice but to vaguely start one by one by following the tutorial.

From job preparation to research and development team leader 🎓

Time has passed and it has been four years .

Suddenly I thought. 🤔

"I've come back so many times... There must have been a better way..."

On YouTube
'Follow-along' type lectures

📌 I see a lot of 'follow-along' lectures these days.

There is a lot of good content, and I think I personally received a lot of help.

but,

If you just vaguely follow along, you'll eventually hit a wall . 🚧

"Why can this kid do it but not me?"

If you follow the lecture, you may miss something and it may not work out.

The person who created the course may have missed something .

But the important thing is,

The point is that the learner has not developed the ability to solve problems .

The principle of the fastest learning when learning difficult and complex content

🔑 Two Ways to Develop Problem-Solving Skills

Understand the concept correctly 💡

Master it through repetition 🔁

When these two things are in place, it is not just a matter of following,

You will understand the principles and why this is done.

Then you can expand to more difficult concepts and more difficult acquisitions.

As a result, you can analyze and resolve problems and causes on your own . 💪

Let's learn and practice the principles of 3D rendering and shader materials correctly and create your own Master Material!

💡 The fastest way to learn : study

  • When studying something

The word 'learning' means learning and mastering.
There is a reason for what is expressed

  • Just learning isn't enough.
    Just practicing won't do it

  • Be sure to 'learn' the concepts correctly,
It must be 'acquired' through practice.
Only then will a solid foundation be established.

  • A person with a strong foundation has the strength to advance to the next level.

🎬 I want to tell my 5 year old self

"There's a faster way, a more accurate way!" 🏆

With that in mind, I will create this lecture 💙

🚀 Why this course is special

Concept-centered lectures that even non-majors can easily understand

  1. Materials are tools for programming shader operations on a computer.
To study the concept, you absolutely cannot leave out computer science and mathematics .

  2. Unless you are a major in a related field, it is natural that the more you study, the more your head will hurt!
I know better because I am not a major in this field 😃

  3. I tried to explain the mathematical background and engineering understanding in a way that even elementary school students can easily understand . 🔥

  4. Every time I ride the subway, I remember sighing while watching videos related to math and computer science.
I made this because I really want to help if there's anyone else like me!

A course that improves logical thinking and problem-solving skills, not just simple follow-through.

  1. If you understand it, you should use it. But it's not easy to use it if you don't learn it.

  2. "Application" is developed through "practice" based on principles . Through a variety of exercises using properly understood concepts, good application skills develop.

  3. I don't want my students to create the exact same thing as my lectures 🙃

  4. Practice what you learned from me, become proficient, and gain powerful problem-solving skills!

  5. I created this course with the hope that you'll create your own materials 🤖

🎯 Recommended for these people!

Although I am not a major

Anyone who wants to learn game development

Can I make a AAA game with Unreal Engine?

Where should I start?

Artists who want to use Unreal Engine without programming

These days, the technology for creating graphics with Unreal Engine is amazing. Do I have to code to learn game engines?

People who had many difficulties following YouTube lectures
"I definitely copied it exactly!"
Why can't I!?
Should I start over again?

📢 Start now!

  • The key to all growth is ‘execution’.

  • You will probably have many worries and concerns before taking the class.

'What if I start and it's difficult?', 'What if I sign up for a class and then don't listen?'...

Everything is scary at first. Only when you put aside the difficulties and discomfort and "start" will you discover a difference in yourself!

  • If you're interested in learning Unreal Engine but don't know where to start , this course will help you really improve your skills!

💡 Changes you can experience by taking this course

  • You will be able to understand the basic concepts of materials and shaders, and the principles of material programming that works in Unreal.

  • You can learn the concepts of PBR and the principles of creating countless materials from a single material through practice.

  • Ultimately, you'll complete a master material in its most fundamental form, ready to be applied to your own personal projects.
