What you will gain after the course

  • I can configure basic Arduino circuits and connect components on my own.

  • You can understand the basics of Arduino block coding (mBlock) and write it yourself.

  • You can complete hands-on projects using key components such as LEDs, sensors, and modules.

  • You can pass the Korea Coding Convergence Education Institute Arduino Coding Certificate Level 3 exam.

Hello! I am Sumi Kim, the CEO of Maker Factory Chungbuk and an adjunct professor in the Department of Hacking and Security at Far East University.

Today, I would like to introduce the Korea Coding Convergence Education Center's Official Arduino Coding Certification Level 3 Course that I am conducting.

You've probably heard of Arduino at least once, right? Many of you might have felt overwhelmed, not knowing where to start. This course is designed for absolute beginners to go from the basics to obtaining a certification all at once.

Now, let's take a look at how this course is structured! 😊

📌 What is this certification?

The Arduino Coding Certificate Level 3 is an entry-level qualification that evaluates the ability of first-time learners to understand basic electronic circuits and control simple sensors and modules using block-based coding (mBlock).

To put it simply, it is a certification that officially proves, "I can build basic things with Arduino on my own!"

📚 What will you learn?

Let's take a look at the curriculum one by one.

First, Arduino basics. We will build a solid foundation starting from the concepts of what Arduino is, how it was created, open-source and MCU concepts, and the structure of the Uno board.

Second, handling electronic components. You will directly connect actual circuits using jumper cables, breadboards, LEDs, and resistors. Learning by making with your own hands is the fastest way!

Third, block coding. We will set up the mBlock environment and practice coding loops, conditionals, and functions directly using blocks. Don't worry even if it's your first time coding!

Fourth, understanding signals. Understand the core principles of Arduino, from the differences between digital and analog signals to PWM and potentiometer input.

Fifth, sensor control. We will connect and control actual components, including temperature and humidity sensors (DHT11), ultrasonic sensors (HC-SR04), RGB LEDs, and I2C LCDs.

Finally, it's the comprehensive practice session. Complete your own project by integrating the sensors you've learned!

The certification issuance fee is 100,000 won, and you can check the details on the official website of the Korea Coding Fusion Education Center (kcfedu.co.kr).

🚀 What can I do after obtaining the certification?

Once you obtain Level 3, these things will become possible.

  • You can configure the Arduino Uno board and basic circuits on your own.

  • You can freely handle basic components such as LEDs, buttons, and sensors.

  • You can directly implement simple algorithms using mBlock.

  • You will gain the capability to immediately participate in basic maker projects.

📈 What paths open up after this?

After Level 3, you can expand in the following ways.

Advanced learning is possible from Arduino Level 2 → Level 1, and you can progress into Smart Farms, IoT projects, and robot production. Furthermore, it leads to future technology-linked education such as Metaverse and AI sensor control.

📝 How is the exam structured?

The exam consists of two parts: theoretical evaluation and practical evaluation.

The theory section evaluates Arduino concepts, the roles of components, circuit configuration, block coding, and sensor utilization, while the practical section assesses the ability to directly configure circuits and perform coding.

🙋 We recommend this to the following people!

  • Beginners who are new to maker education

  • Elementary and middle school students who want to learn Arduino

  • Beginner learners who want to study IoT

  • Creative convergence education instructors preparing for coding classes

So, what do you think? Arduino is more systematic and fun than you thought, right?

Once you complete this single course, you will not only earn a certification but also build a foundation to confidently start any future maker project.

Sign up for the course right now, and let's complete your first Arduino project together! 🙌

See you in class 😊
