A must-see course to become a high-paying freelancer

A developer who earned 20 million won per month as a freelancer and expanded into a development company with annual sales of 2 billion won has generously shared all of his know-how.

I worked as a developer at a company, but I quit and failed at starting a startup. I became a freelance developer to make a living, and I started earning 5 million won a month. After two months, I reached 10 million won a month, and after another two months, I was able to earn 20 million won a month as my own net income.

We hired developers and expanded into a development agency called Insomnia, and we accurately calculated estimates and efficiently operated outsourced projects to the point where we could generate annual sales of 1.5 to 2 billion won and a net profit of 500 to 600 million won.

I prepared this lecture for those who are just starting out as a freelancer, those who are already freelancers but are having trouble with orders, estimates, or contracts, and developers who are curious about the freelance life.

We are also planning an in-depth course for those who wish to expand into an agency in the future.

Hello, I haven't completed the course yet, but you mentioned that securing projects through online platforms like Kmong is difficult, making networking through acquaintances a more realistic approach. I found this to be very abstract, and I feel a significant lack of deeper explanation with more detailed examples of various sales channels. Because, as it stands, it only seems that people with solid development experience and a successful development career can become freelancers. Frankly speaking, those people wouldn't feel the need to take this course at all. It seems like this course is targeted towards people with over 20 years of technical experience, like yourself.

Hi, I've found that experience isn't as important as you might think for freelancers. Of course, if you have experience or education, you should use it to promote yourself as much as possible, but your strengths, mainly your attitude and perseverance, can also become a form of storytelling that persuades people of your value. How about a light mentoring call after you take the course? I don't think my lectures are only helpful for experienced or skilled people, so if you're not getting the help you need, I'd like to find that gap and help you bridge it. Please email me at james@insomenia.com.

Hello. I first learned about this through YouTube, and I'm now taking this course with dreams of becoming a freelancer. This course definitely contained valuable content with various real-life examples and know-how that are not easily accessible. However, there were quite a few disappointing aspects as well. The overall difficulty and direction of the course felt more suitable for those who are already working as freelancers or senior developers with some experience, rather than those who are just starting out. (I think the difficulty level of the course is intermediate or higher.) Even after completing the course, the feeling of "What should I do now?" has not been resolved. Rather, I felt burdened, thinking, "Do I have to be this good to be a freelancer?" For example, the first thing you might worry about when starting out as a freelancer is 'How to get your first job?', but the course emphasizes personal branding and recommends getting work through acquaintances. It also advises you to take on large and complex projects to increase your value. The solutions are definitely perfect in my opinion. However, it is a pity that the solutions presented are closer to "special methods" that only a few people can realize, rather than universal methods that ordinary people can apply. If you are already building a foundation as a freelancer, you will be able to gain sufficient insight from this course. However, if you ask whether someone who is preparing for their first project can get practical help from this course, my answer would be "No." If you are not sure whether you will succeed as a freelancer, I recommend that you think twice before purchasing.

Hello, I was able to understand what difficulties you are experiencing through the comment you left. I deeply empathize with how daunting it can be for beginners to know what to do right away. It seems that the very beginning is indeed the most difficult part. I believe that area definitely needs supplementary explanation, and I've come to feel the necessity to explain how to acquire your first client, along with more specific scenarios. I will cover this topic soon by supplementing the content on YouTube or in the course. However, it is my belief that this method is not only possible for a limited number of people. The very beginning is certainly daunting and difficult, but once you secure just one request, my methodologies will start to appear as visible solutions one by one, and I believe you will be able to quickly jump up with far fewer trials and errors compared to someone who hasn't watched the course. My first step is to supplement the course or content well to help those who have taken the course find their first request, and my wish is for you to feel that my course content has been a great help from that point onwards. Thank you for taking the course and leaving a good review!
