This course will teach you how to create a simple online 2D roguelike game using the key concepts learned in Parts 1-6.
Regarding the update of the new employment special lecture
Hello, this is Rookiss.
Today, a new lecture, [Game Programmer Job Guide], was uploaded and we are sharing it with you.
As I mentioned in the previous post, many of you have asked questions.
This is a special lecture that comprehensively covers job preparation and study direction.
The main topics covered in the lecture are:
The job search strategies that I pondered and considered while preparing for employment,
I also added various incidents that I experienced while participating as an interviewer in reverse.
Overall, I hope this will be helpful in helping job seekers find their direction.
The next course I'm working on is [C++ Part 5: Unreal Engine].
Because the current point is exactly the transition period from UE4 to UE5.
I had a lot of concerns about whether to use UE5 or UE4 for the lecture.
After doing some research recently, I have concluded that UE5 is premature for the following reasons.
- The UE5 engine itself is heavy and unstable, so there are many stuttering phenomena.
- It's still hard to predict how things will change when UE5 is officially released.
- Most of the practice assets are not yet supported by UE4
- In fact, from a programmer's perspective, there is no significant difference in engine usage between UE4 and UE5.
So I was thinking of just stopping the C++ lecture series until the release of UE5.
Still, I think there are a lot of people who are interested in UE portfolio right now.
First, Part 5 will cover the basics of using Unreal with UE4 and then practice creating a simple RPG.
From the future lectures on client/server content integration,
Let's start by waiting until next year and moving from UE4 to UE5.
We're making plans to work with UE5.
(Open world, etc. have also been strengthened in UE5..)
Before that, there were short-term lectures such as Unity Shader, Unity Tool Extension, and C++20.
I'm thinking of making a few indie game mockups (ex. Ratropolis) using Unity.
thank you
