What you will gain after the course

  • Basic skills to work in the Linux terminal without getting lost

  • The ability to directly find necessary information from logs and files

Detailed Introduction

If you've ever connected to a Linux server for the first time,
and found yourself frozen in front of a black screen, not knowing where to start,
this course was created to help you get past that moment.

This course is designed for those new to Linux,
focusing on the most fundamental yet frequently used commands:
cd, ls, and grep.

We don't just list or make you memorize commands.
We explain when, why, and in what situations each command is used
with real server and log scenarios as examples.

What this course covers

  • The basic structure of the terminal and the concept of current location

  • How to navigate directories using the cd command

  • How to read files and directories with the ls command

  • How to find desired content in logs and files using the grep command

  • Practical examples of common situations encountered on servers

All content is explained from a beginner's perspective,
and is structured so that you can easily follow along even without Linux or server experience.

Features of this course

  • Beginner-focused explanations
Explanations start with "why we use this command" so you can understand from the ground up.

  • Structured around practical workflow
Navigate directories → Check files → Search logs
Experience the actual server workflow as it is.

  • Unnecessary content excluded
Advanced commands that beginners don't need right away have been boldly omitted.

What You'll Gain from This Course

After completing this course,
the Linux terminal will no longer be an overwhelming space,
but rather a space where you have a sense of what to do.

The biggest goal of this course is
to make you think "Ah, I should start looking from here"
instead of "Now what should I do?"
when you connect to a server.

I used to use Linux frequently, but since it's been over three years, I was having a hard time remembering things. This course is really helping me get my groove back. Thank you!!
