What you can take away from this book talk

Standards for product decisions that navigate through failure

10 years since founding Publy, we vividly share what we learned through misjudgments hidden behind rapid growth and critical choices.

You'll learn practical considerations and standards for creating 'real' products that work even in the AI era. You can establish your own unwavering principles amid market changes.

Learn how to guard against reckless expansion and achieve solid growth through the successes and failures of 'Careerly,' which received over 10 billion won in investment.

Based on the deep insights from 'Navigating Through Failure,'
establish criteria for overcoming the challenges faced while building products.

We wanted to change the world with content.

In 2015, we started as a small company called 'Publy'. We grew rapidly, but behind that were countless misjudgments and moments swept up by external expectations. 10 years later, after selling the company and looking back, I could see the decisive moments. These are the records of 10 decision-making moments captured in "Navigating Through Failure".

Curious about the real story hidden behind rapid growth?
Critical moments that would have been lost if not recorded

I focused only on rapid growth and lost sight of the essence, making irreversible choices.

Through all these experiences, I now know how to establish unwavering standards.

Establish solid standards for your product-building journey. Let's start right now.

In 2015, I founded the startup 'PUBLY' with the belief that content can change people's lives. In 2024, I stepped down as CEO following the sale of the company.

During my sabbatical, I wrote the book "Passing Through Failure," reflecting on ten key decisions I made as a founder over the past decade. It contains an unfiltered record and painful reflections on every moment—from the misjudgments hidden behind rapid growth and the essence lost while being swept up by external expectations to the irreversible choices made at critical junctures.

I still believe in the power of content.
