Synthesis (Synthesis)

What is synthesis?

  • Converting Register Transfer Level designs written in HDL such as Verilog into Gate Level

  • Optimize the design according to the constraints called Synopsys Design Constraints during the conversion process.

  • Finally mapping to standard cells provided by the foundry.
