Using the public domain book "The Little Prince" as practice material, you will experience the process of understanding e-book structures and completing a production-ready EPUB file.
The course covers the differences between e-book formats (PDF and EPUB), the structural characteristics of EPUB, and step-by-step XHTML/CSS-based editing methods using Sigil.
To ensure that students unfamiliar with HTML or CSS can follow along, we will also cover the essential HTML/CSS basics required for e-book production.
In the latter half of the course, we will address table of contents, covers, and metadata settings, along with error validation using generative AI. With a focus on distribution to domestic e-book platforms, the course is designed to help you move beyond just "having tried it" to a level where you can independently modify, refine, and distribute your work.
This course is designed for learners who want to achieve tangible results, ranging from beginners with no prior e-book production experience to instructors, researchers, and creators looking to expand their lecture, research, or publishing content into e-books.
** HTML / CSS, e-book distribution, etc., will be added in the future.
