Pros:
- There are almost no Korean lectures for Phaser other than this one.
- The textbook is good. The complete code and explanations for each chapter are well organized in Notion, and game assets are also provided. Thanks to this, in the case of very repetitive tasks, you can copy and paste the code provided in Notion.
- The instructor's teaching ability and lecture tempo are good. (In other words, it doesn't sound like an instructor who can't teach, where the audio is too choppy or the instructor only explains what he knows and doesn't explain it.)
Cons:
- It explains various things from the beginning, considering everyone from complete coding beginners to those who have already used git or npm. This is a bit distracting. I don't think complete coding beginners will understand the lecture in the first place.
- The code flow is different from the actual development method. It teaches in a flow that can be done when the results are known in advance. It's like "This object's method will have these things added to it, but I'll write them in another file" Why they are going to be added is something you will understand if you watch until the end. (But you will understand it well in the end.)
- The explanation of the theoretical part of Phaser is insufficient. In fact, it is not a complete conquest of Phaser, but a light clone coding, so I have no complaints. I plan to look for other lectures to study Phaser systems (World, Arcade, GameObject, Physics) more deeply.
Summary:
It is good for quickly learning and experiencing the flow of Phaser development. If you want a deep theoretical explanation, you may be disappointed.
