✅ Track cybercrimes using hacking!
OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) is a term created by combining Open Source, which means 'public source', and Intelligence, which originated from intelligence activities for military intelligence gathering. It refers to the overall process of collecting information from public sources such as the deep web, dark web, open web, and social media.
The process of directly gathering and analyzing meaningful information from the vast amount of information available online is challenging. In this course, you will learn how to gather information from publicly available sources using various collection tools like Google and Shodan, how to create samples that can derive meaningful analysis results from various sources, and how to effectively apply OSINT to practical cybercrime investigations and investigations.
Simply using Open Source Information (OSINF) collection tools isn't enough to be considered OSINT. Therefore, a differentiated OSINT strategy is necessary to effectively structure the OSINT process. This lecture, based on an understanding of the five core steps of the OSINT process—scope selection, information collection, linkage collection, analysis, and report production—proposes methods to support investigations and investigations tailored to the purpose and characteristics of the information collection.
