Practical Excel for Real-World Professionals - Power Query Advanced
You can master advanced Excel Power Query skills that help process data efficiently and scientifically, and apply them to real-world tasks. (Power Query menus and M code, Advanced Course)
Based on what I learned in the instructor's previous lecture, I am applying Power Query well to my work. ^^
However, I was often embarrassed because unexpected errors occurred (such as changing column names), but through this lecture, I was able to increase the freedom of Power Query. In particular, the concept of parameters and the function of adding index columns in a table seem very useful.
See you in the next lecture. ^^

The advanced course is also very helpful because it explains things in connection with practical work! I plan to listen to the basic course again~
What you will gain after the course
You can learn intermediate data processing skills by utilizing various menus in Power Query.
You can learn the basic theory of M Language.
You can learn various machining skills using M-codes.
Power Query, the ultimate tool for Excel analysis! 🔢 Challenge yourself with advanced skills that work in practice.
Excel Power Query, want to master it properly?
Power Query, the powerful specialized data extraction feature supported by Excel! Power Query is a feature created so that 'Query', a data extraction function used in MS Access, can be used within Excel. Simply put, it is a specialized data processing tool capable of handling most data processing tasks, positioned right between manual labor and VBA.
Have you learned the basics of Power Query? Are you looking for advanced skills to use Power Query more effectively in practice? We have prepared a course for those who want to master intermediate Power Query skills. Learn advanced Power Query skills one step further through various practical examples!
Please check before taking the course!
This course is a follow-up to the <진짜 현업에서 쓰이는 직장인의 실무 엑셀 - 데이터 가공부터 분석까지> course. Please make sure to complete the previous course or have prior knowledge equivalent to that level before taking this class.
“Power Query Advanced” course consists of two parts.
1) Intermediate processing skills through the Power Query menu 2) Intermediate processing skills using M code
1 Intermediate processing skills through the Power Query menu
You can learn various skills required for data processing using the Power Query menu. Through a total of six practical examples, you will master various intermediate features of Power Query.
2 Intermediate Data Processing Skills Using M Code
Power Query is a feature built with its own language called M code (M Language). You will practice with 8 practical examples related to M code to master data processing skills.
In addition, we will cover the basic theory of M code to help you use it effectively.
Let me ask you a few questions. First, can you name at least two reasons why you should use Power Query instead of Excel functions and features? Second, can you freely apply file consolidation, sheet consolidation, and merge functions to your practical work using Power Query? Third, are you aware that there is an option called 'Only Create Connection' when loading a query table into a worksheet?
If you can answer all three of the questions above, you can proceed with this course without any prior learning.
First, this course covers M code (M Language). Second, while the Basic course uses simple examples to learn fundamental concepts, this Advanced course uses example samples structured in table formats similar to actual practical work.
Q. To handle M code (M Language), do I need to learn the grammar as if I were studying a programming language?
I can say with certainty that I don't think that's necessary. If it were, Microsoft would have commercialized M code as an independent programming language.
Power Query internally converts our inputs into M code whenever a user clicks a menu item to process data. Since you can check the converted code in the [Advanced Editor] or the [Formula Bar], you can perform detailed processing by making slight manual adjustments to the existing code. You will learn how to do that through this course.
Curious about the instructor who created this course?

Hello, Myeongdong-nim :D
You finished it at the speed of light.
Myeongdong-nim's great concentration and execution, I will learn from you too.
Looking at what you said,
You seem to be applying Power Query in the top few percent of power users in your field.
I also hope that we can evolve together.
Stay healthy~

I would like to see a Power Pivot course after the Power Query course.
It is difficult to learn how to use Power Query user-defined functions or parameters in free YouTube lectures. I used to only use the basic functions of Power Query, but I think it will be very helpful for my work after taking the Advanced course.
Thank you, fenought.
In the field, handling complex data sets is often insufficient with Power Query alone.
I think it would be good to try to automate the entire work with vba or python, or rpa tools.
