Things I realized while reflecting over the past 7 years

Since 2017, I have made it a point to do a retrospective at the end of every year. I have also done one whenever I faced a particular concern. I would like to share what I have realized through these retrospectives over the past seven years.

I was very interested in how to approach retrospectives, and I think I gained a lot of insights. Thank you for the good video.

  • Things I realized while reflecting

This video is a recording of a presentation session held in December 2024 at the <Pangyo After-Work Meetup with Inflearn #10 Year-End Retrospective>. 🙂

Presentation Session: Things I've Learned from 7 Years of Retrospectives

I have consistently conducted year-end retrospectives since 2017. I have also turned to retrospection whenever I faced a difficult decision or concern. I would like to share the insights I've gained through seven years of practicing retrospection.

Who will find this presentation helpful?

Those who are struggling with how to conduct a retrospective,
and those who have made up their minds to do a 2024 retrospective will find this helpful.
Let's set a date and focus together. It'll go much better, right? 😉

We will gather and conduct the retrospective using 30-minute Pomodoro sessions!

Speaker: Seongyun Byeon (Kyle School)

I have worked as a data scientist, data engineer, and machine learning engineer for 8 years, and have developed data analysis, data engineering, and machine learning algorithms at Socar and VCNC (Tada).

I enjoy keeping records and have been consistently writing retrospectives on my blog since 2017. I am someone who reflects by asking questions such as "Who am I?", "How should I live?", "What experiences have I had?", and "What do I want to remember?". I also operated "Geultto," a community for developers who write. It might be helpful to take a look at the retrospectives on my blog.
