The features of this course are

I have structured this with specific examples that are not 'vague or abstract.'

I have brought familiar services from our daily lives as examples. If UX has felt vague to you, you can now clearly visualize the concepts through everyday cases and the objects around you. I will narrow the gap between theory and practice. Furthermore, based on cases I have personally experienced, I will bridge the gap between theory and practice by showing how UX has evolved within technology.

The design process, from A to Z, explained through practical industry know-how.

From the very first step of the process to the final user testing, I have generously included know-how gained from my own hands-on experience in the field, rather than just stories found in books. I vividly deliver the concerns and solutions you will encounter at each stage in an episodic format. To ensure you don't get overwhelmed by the vast scope, I have curated only the 'real' core actions essential for practical work.

Experience an overseas UX design culture that is slightly different from Korea's.

Beyond simple knowledge sharing, I will convey the actual atmosphere of the field, including the design organizations and cultures of global big tech companies, as well as the roles and essential qualities of a designer.

What you will learn!

The importance of UX as seen through success and failure stories
Design principles you need to know to become a UX designer
Design processes used directly in the field
Design organization culture in global tech companies

The person who created this course

Hello. I am Haeun Jin, working as a UX designer in Dublin, Ireland.

I started my career as a web designer and design consultant in Korea, and
since successfully landing a job abroad in 2013, I have been working as a UX designer at global tech companies in Europe and the United States.

Starting with Ryanair (Europe's leading airline) and moving through global US tech companies like IBM and Oracle,
I have had many valuable opportunities to collaborate with UX designers from all over the world while leading and launching various projects ranging from B2B/B2C services to large-scale platforms and public services.

In that process, I learned that UX designers come from very diverse backgrounds, and I realized that it is an attractive field that anyone can challenge, even if they didn't major in it or are a newcomer without prior experience.

However, strategic preparation is necessary to succeed in getting a job.

Therefore, through this class, I

'If I had known this 10 years ago, I could have shortened my job search period'

'If I had known this knowledge during my junior years,'

I decided to prepare this lecture in the hopes of sharing these insights and providing even a small amount of help to those who may be facing similar concerns as I did.

And recently, I have been actively participating in UX-related lectures and seminars. I received a lot of great feedback at the 'Seminar for Product Design Beginners' hosted by Oz Coding School most recently, and it was a very enjoyable and meaningful experience for me personally.

Through this course, I want to create more active engagement with those who wish to enter the field of UX/Product Design!

Who is this course right for?

  • UX Beginner

  • Non-majors who want to transition into UX design

  • Those who are interested in working abroad

Hello
This is Haeun Jin

I currently reside in Ireland and have a professional background as a UX Designer at global tech companies IBM and Oracle.

As a non-major, I have experienced two rigorous periods of job hunting while building a career of over 15 years as a UX Designer.

  • The first was my experience preparing on my own to become a web designer in Korea as a non-major,

  • The second was my experience preparing to get a job as a local UX designer in Ireland,

During these periods, I went through all sorts of trial and error while preparing on my own without a clear roadmap, so I understand better than anyone where non-majors struggle.

I have created this course to share my experiences with those who want to make the profession of a UX designer a realistic career option, rather than just a vague aspiration.

In particular, I cover the UX environment in English-speaking countries, the design culture of global corporations, and the UX perspectives and collaboration methods required for overseas employment, offering a vision for growing into a global UX designer beyond the domestic market.

In particular, I have recently been conducting UX-related lectures and seminars.
