What you will gain after the course

  • Beyond simply listing tags, you can understand the true value of semantic tags considering SEO and web accessibility, and establish the main structure of a page.

  • Through the case of a scoreboard error in a Whac-A-Mole game, one realizes the execution flow of a browser where code is read from top to bottom, and the practical impact that display: none has on an element's presence.

  • By personally exploring techniques like the 'onion skinning technique' required to create 100 moles using only HTML and CSS, you will paradoxically experience the fundamental reason why the 'brain' known as JavaScript is necessary.

The essence of HTML/CSS delivered by a professional developer! Go beyond simple syntax to learn the practical core of Flex, Grid layouts, and responsive web design.
In particular, you will build Whac-A-Mole and Escape Room games using 100% CSS without any JavaScript, allowing you to experience the rendering principles of the web and the powerful possibilities of markup.

Hello, I'm Potato-ssam, a frontend developer with 4 years of experience.

Currently, I am developing a global mobility service. I have gained practical experience by building multilingual services and am also a global Top 30 contributor to the open-source library react-hook-form, which is used by developers worldwide.

But I wasn't always like this from the start.

When I first learned JS, I felt like I understood everything while following along with YouTube tutorials, but I countless times experienced my mind going blank the moment I opened an empty editor. At first, I was just busy copying and pasting code I found through Googling, and when an error occurred, I didn't know where to start, leading to many frustrated nights spent staying up for days.

I struggled a lot during that process. I wrote code without even knowing what the DOM was, and I wasted hours not understanding why an event was firing twice. What I needed most back then wasn't memorizing vast amounts of grammar. It was someone who could explain "why this code actually works."

I created this course by organizing everything I've built up over four years of practical experience, along with the areas where I struggled the most as a beginner. You don't have to take the long way around like I did. I've already been through it for you.

You can quickly master everything from the basics to professional layouts. It's easy to skim through HTML/CSS without a deep understanding, but this e-book was great because it firmly establishes the basic concepts that are often missed. In particular, rather than just listing theories, it is structured around hands-on practice, making it fun to learn by writing the code yourself. I used to get confused every time I tried to arrange elements on a screen, but I feel like I've learned clear standards for structuring layouts. This book will be an excellent guide for those self-studying web publishing.

I had to use simple HTML or CSS during my work, so I watched the lectures. The basics were well-explained, which was very helpful for my tasks!
