Collie Installation Review: Need to install a plugin? Have the Agent do it for you.
Hello! This is Weekend Coding :)
Among the fairly well-known Herdr plugins is an open-source project called Collie.
You can access the terminal currently running remotely from your phone through a web page in the form of a PWA.
(I keep it open in Safari and have added it to my home screen like an app.)
Link: https://github.com/AltanS/collie

While the user can install these directly, I prefer to give instructions to the agent whenever possible.
(Of course, we should also examine the security carefully, right?)

(App: Termius, connected via SSH with one herdr pane open)
I installed it directly on my iPhone.
As you can see in the image, I gave the agent a GitHub link and instructed it to install it.
I didn’t write an especially difficult prompt or anything like that.
However, I was asked midway to open the Tailscale admin console and enable HTTPS, so I had the inconvenience of having to access it through the Tailscale app and turn on the setting. (You may want to enable it in advance!)

Once installed, it creates a link that only devices connected to the tailnet can access.
After pairing, you can view your herdr status from outside as a website like that.
After that, if you use Safari’s options to add it to your Home Screen as an icon, it will look like this.

A cute Collie icon has appeared.
Since the UI is naturally web-based, you can modify or improve it through the agent just as you would modify open-source software. If that feels like a hassle, you can of course use it as-is!
If I find any better tips, I’ll keep coming back with updates :)
