😢Where am I supposed to learn AWS?!

You've built your website, but now that it's time to deploy, there's too much information out there. You've heard AWS is great, but you have no idea how to use it... Others seem to do just fine by reading the official documentation, so why is it so hard for you? You can't understand a single word of the terminology used in AWS! For those of you thinking this, DXers has prepared this for you!

In this course, we aim to start from the basic concepts of AWS and move on to directly building and operating cloud infrastructure through hands-on practice.

Rather than a simple list of theories, the course is structured step-by-step with everyday examples so that anyone can easily understand.

Based on direct experience with H Motor projects, this course is structured to include "configurations required in practice" and more.

💡Highly recommended for these people!

  • Those who are new to cloud computing basics but want to experience the overall infrastructure

  • Developers, operators, or those considering a career change to an IT-related role

  • Those who have created an AWS account before but find specific network and security configurations difficult

📝 Teaching Method

1⃣Hands-on practice-oriented

You can gain a deep understanding of the theory by working through the concepts you've learned directly in the AWS console.

Console Practice

2⃣Easily understand concepts through everyday analogies

We help you understand the elements involved in infrastructure configuration by explaining them with examples from situations we encounter in our daily lives.

VPC = Office

3⃣Learn by doing—practice immediately to master things you don't know

Rather than learning difficult terms and concepts for beginners through theory alone, we help you understand them through experience by observing the operations and results through hands-on practice.

🎯 Learning Objectives

  • Clearly understand the basic concepts of AWS and the pros and cons of the cloud

  • Acquire secure account and permission management skills through IAM (Identity and Access Management) settings.

  • Gain hands-on experience with virtual network configuration principles, including VPC, subnets, internet gateways, and NAT gateways.

  • Hands-on experience in building a jump server and configuring secure SSH connections

  • Designing high-availability architecture using load balancers along with experience in deploying web servers (EC2)

  • Hands-on practice for creating and managing RDS (Relational Database Service) instances

  • Understanding how to create S3 (Simple Storage Service) buckets and manage objects

  • Perfectly master how to safely remove unnecessary resources after the course is finished.

🏆 After completing this course

  • Overall understanding of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, etc.)

  • Cultivate secure cloud operation skills through security settings (IAM, security groups, subnet isolation)

  • Experience in building jump servers and configuring high-availability environments such as load balancers

  • Strengthen practical skills applicable in collaborative environments by writing practice scripts yourself.

  • Experience cost optimization by creating and deleting necessary resources, and develop the habit of preventing orphaned resources.

🔎 Instructor Introduction

I am Seo Ji-hoon, an instructor at DXers who will be with you on Inflearn. Seo Ji-hoon.
I have 3 years of experience as a government-funded education instructor and 2 years and 6 months of practical development experience, and during that time, I have been in charge of building and operating large-scale systems for several major corporate projects, including H Motors.

While working as an offline instructor for government-funded training programs, I was unable to deliver the style of teaching I truly wanted—specifically, practice-oriented and field-friendly lectures. There were various reasons, but primarily, I had to strictly follow a fixed curriculum (typically Java-focused), and being affiliated with a specific organization meant I often had to prioritize the organization's interests over the students'. Since this did not align with my teaching philosophy, I decided to transition to online lectures to create student-centered content that provides high value at an affordable price.

📚 Experience

Government-funded offline training for 3 years:

Lecturing on overall web development, including Java, Spring Boot, and React.js, tailored to the learner's level.

Participated in national business projects related to energy data analysis and prediction, and a large-scale project for H Motors for 2 years and 6 months:

Machine learning-based data analysis and prediction using Python Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.

Design and implementation of TypeScript-based backend (Node Express/NestJS) systems

React.js, Next.js, Electron.js, Tauri frontend development

AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes environment setup and CI/CD pipeline configuration

💻 Technical Stack

Languages & Frameworks: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Boot, React.js, Next.js, Node.js(Express, NestJS), ElectronJS, React Native, Rust, Tauri, Python(Scikit-lean, TensorFlow, Pandas)

Database: MySQL, OracleDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, etc.), Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Vault, Kafka

Collaboration Tools: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Slack, Jira, Confluence

🎯 Teaching Philosophy

During my time as an instructor for government-funded offline programs, I was unable to deliver the style of teaching I desired (practice-oriented, practical-focused lectures). There were various reasons, but because I had to follow a fixed curriculum (typically Java-centered) and was affiliated with a specific organization, I ended up teaching for the benefit of the organization rather than for the students. Since this did not align with my teaching philosophy, I transitioned to online lectures to create courses for the students by providing high-value content at an affordable price.

Above all, I aim to provide high-value lectures at an affordable price. I learned IT development through self-study (online courses). I want to prove that it is not absolutely necessary to spend a lot of money on in-person learning.

I support your dreams and challenges.

As a college student first encountering AWS, I was able to easily follow along with cloud concepts that initially felt overwhelming through Inflearn's affordable courses. Thanks to the hands-on structure, I could directly experience and learn AWS's basic functions and architecture, making it a very suitable course for beginners. However, it might be disappointing for those who use AWS in practice or want to learn more in-depth. As it's a beginner-targeted course, the content doesn't go very deep. What was disappointing was that the course materials were simply provided as PPT converted to PDF. There were beneficial parts where the instructor explained using tools like Paint during the lecture, but these contents weren't included in the materials, which was somewhat disappointing. If supplementary materials or explanations had been organized together using Notion or similar tools, the learning efficiency would have been higher.

We will incorporate feedback on the materials to provide better lectures. Also, lectures for in-depth AWS use and practical, real-world practice are currently being prepared. Thank you for attending until the end. :)
