Hello. I am a beginner-level developer in my mid-40s who has just recently become interested in development. I am currently a freelancer and a team member of an SI project, and since the project will be conducted using Spring Boot and JPA, I hurriedly took Kim Young-han's lecture. 'Practical! Spring Boot and JPA Utilization 1 - Web Application Development' 'Practical! Spring Boot and JPA Utilization 2 - API Development and Performance Optimization' 'Practical! Spring Data JPA' I paid for these three courses and completed the Utilization 1 course today. It is a course that is a little over 7 hours long, but personally, I think I need to spend at least twice that amount of time to finish the course. In fact, I don't know Java or Spring well, so I can't really picture it in my head yet. However, as you mentioned in the middle, if you follow the lecture diligently and study step by step, I think you will be able to draw a picture. If you are planning to take the course, I recommend that you listen to the open lectures that are open to the public, and if you are taking the course, I recommend that you download the lecture materials and read the lecture materials before taking the relevant section and try out the source code in the lecture materials in advance. In my case, even if I couldn't analyze it, it felt a little easier after doing that. I think it's because I do live coding. At first, when I just listened to the lecture, I often pressed pause during the lecture. However, after trying out the sample code, the number of times I pressed pause decreased a lot. I also recommend that you click the question button for each lecture and read other people's questions together. Since I need to adapt to the project quickly, my goal is to complete all the courses once before the middle of the semester. After that, repeat~~ There are many lectures on Inflearn, but the sample lectures were the ones that fit my voice tone and current situation. Also, for the sake of continuity of the course, I chose all of Kim Young-han's lectures. Since he mentioned 'Java ORM Standard JPA Programming - Basics' a lot during the course, I feel the need to take that course. So, I have a question for the instructor. I would like to ask if there are any benefits, such as discount coupons, for those who have taken the instructor's previous lectures when taking the course. I saw on Infraon that bundled lectures or linked lectures in the form of roadmaps are discounted. I hope you benefit from it, and I will end my review here. Thank you.^^
JH K, thank you for your valuable course review. Even though you started late, I think you will definitely get good results if you do it consistently. It's fortunate that you listened to the first part of the application properly, but if you are currently lacking in Java and Spring, it is true that your basics are very weak. Since you started late, you should think of yourself as a high school senior without any rest for at least 1 to 2 years and invest everything in your development studies. There are so many things to study in the future, from Java basics to DB, Spring, JPA, etc. I answered the question about the course discount in the Q&A. I hope you have a fun year of studying and working as a developer in 2020^^!
