준영속 엔티티의 기준

죄송합니다 개념이 조금 꼬였네요.. DB에서 Item findItem = em.find(Item.class, itemParam.getId()); 이렇게 참조를 조회하면 영속성 엔티티가 되고,Book book = new Book(); 후 setter로 DB에 이미 존재하는 식별자를 설정하면 준영속 엔티티가 되는게 맞을까요 .. ?
