I'll explain the basics of Alterix in detail.
Data analytics solutions for everyone!
In the United States, it is considered an essential tool for data analysis.
Easily analyze big data with drag and drop.
What if you could use Alteryx, a workflow data analysis program, to make your data analysis work more efficient? A workflow is a method for sequentially completing a series of tasks. The image below illustrates an actual Alteryx workflow.
Data Join → Data Summary →

So that you can see it at a glance
Alterix analyzes data step-by-step according to a workflow, allowing you to understand the situation. This allows you to easily view data analysis processes that are otherwise impossible to see with Excel.
Goodbye to simple repetitive tasks!
Once you've systematically created a workflow, you can reuse it for other data. This allows you to automate data analysis, freeing you from repetitive manual tasks.
Using Alteryx in my actual work, I've found it to be a truly useful and convenient tool. It makes it much easier to perform tasks like redundant data analysis and work reviews, which are difficult to do with Excel alone.
This course, aimed at first-time Alteryx users , will teach you the basics of using Alteryx and how to create workflows using 18 core functions most frequently used in real-world analysis. Furthermore, to help you earn the Alteryx certification, you'll learn 18 functions covered in the certification exam and work through hands-on examples to become familiar with Alteryx! We'll guide you step-by-step to empower your data analysis efforts!
Hello. My name is Minjeong Kwon, and I work in the Tax, Technology and Transformation practice at EY, an accounting firm in New York.
I work on automating tax processing for multinational companies. My clients, such as Pfizer, Aesop, and Under Armour, are based in multiple states and countries, making traditional tax calculations incredibly time-consuming. My team helps clients automate their tax calculations, and after completing these projects, we've seen clients save 50-70% of their time compared to before.
I've found programs like Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI particularly useful for this type of automation work, so I thought it would be helpful for those who need data analysis and visualization, so I prepared this lecture. I hope this will be helpful and connect with those in similar fields or jobs. ☺️
Q. Is there anything I need to prepare before attending the lecture?
To follow along with the examples, you'll need the Alteryx program. If you don't already have Alteryx, don't worry. This lesson will show you how to install the free version of Alteryx.
Q. What level of content is covered in the class?
This course will help you obtain the Alteryx Core Certificate. The Core Certificate is the most fundamental certification that demonstrates your ability to work at Alteryx. When I applied to join the Alteryx team, obtaining the Core Certificate was a prerequisite for the job.
But don't overthink it. The Alteryx certification is free, and even if you don't pass, you can reapply after a week, so don't think it's too far-fetched or daunting. And best of all, if you follow this course step by step, you can easily obtain it.
Q. What can I do if I learn Alterix?
Alteryx is currently the most sought-after job skill in industries requiring data analysis, like the accounting firm I work for. When my team looks for individuals with the necessary skills, Alteryx certifications are in high demand. Even during new hire interviews, we ask about Alteryx experience. If you master Alteryx skills, you'll stand out in industries dealing with data analysis and big data.
