This is my first time setting up an infrastructure, so I am learning by following along step by step. There are some difficult parts, but I can feel that you have prepared diligently. Thank you.
Knowledge required for setting up a simple infrastructure
Knowledge of OS, Network, Tomcat, etc., required to operate a service
Knowledge required for testing service performance
Knowledge of HTTP, Spring, MySQL, etc., required to improve performance
Did infrastructure feel vague?
Learn infrastructure by building and breaking it 🤖
📌 AWS costs may be incurred depending on your learning environment!
📌 Example codes are provided in JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) / Spring Boot. If you have your own separate project, you can also use it for the hands-on practice.
Q. Can non-majors take this course?
A. This course is designed for non-majors. While you may not gain a deep understanding of CS knowledge through this course alone, I believe it will help you build the "learning muscles" needed to continue your studies in the future.
Q. What is the difficulty level of the missions and the course?
A. For those with little infrastructure experience, even some with 4 to 10 years of experience found it challenging, while those with a strong interest in OS/Network were able to proceed smoothly even while preparing for employment.
Q. Do I have to complete the missions?
A. There is a saying that "seeing once is not as good as doing once," meaning that programming yourself is better than watching a lecture a hundred times. The same applies to infrastructure. You learn much more in the process of building, breaking, and yak shaving yourself.
Additionally, I believe reading the example code will also be helpful for your learning. If you are new to the JVM family or Spring, I think you will be able to gain various insights.
Q. Do I have to take the lecture?
A. It's fine to just proceed with the missions. If you read the hints carefully, you can complete them on your own. You can take the lecture later when you become curious about the knowledge related to the missions.
Q. Is there anything I need to prepare before taking the course?
A. Since the practice sessions use AWS, you will need your own individual account. Also, please note that Linux commands, the OSI 7 Layer, git, and GitHub will not be covered in this course, so it is recommended to study them in advance.
Who is this course right for?
Those who feel overwhelmed by how to learn CS knowledge and apply it to practical work
People who want to understand the environment in which actual services are operated
Someone who has a lot of fear regarding troubleshooting due to a lack of infrastructure knowledge
Those who need to improve performance but don't know where or how to start.
Need to know before starting?
Linux commands
OSI 7 Layer
git & github
Spring Basics

I felt like it provided a general overview of the minimum details needed to run a service, and the visual aids and references used in the process were appropriate and excellent! I think this lecture is one of the best lectures I've ever seen, so I hope many people watch it and continue to make better lectures. Thank you.
Seunghyeon Lee, thank you ㅠㅠ I will make sure to use the experiences I have gained in the field to come back with better lectures in the future~ It's hot these days, so take care of your health and have a great day~ 🙏🏻
